Cap Sante
Here is the best place in Anacortes to get a view of the town. It overlooks all of Anacortes, two marinas, the nearby oil refineries, and on a clear day, Mount Baker can be seen to the northeast.
Mount Erie
This look out is a bit higher and a little further, but significantly better than the view from Cap Sante. Just to the south of Anacortes, this pristine lookout can view all of Skagit Valley, neighboring cities of Burlington and Mount Vernon, and even Naval Air Station Whidbey Island where Brad was stationed when he met Allison. On the clearest days, Mount Rainier may be seen far off to the south, which is the tallest mountain in the Cascades, and 5th tallest in the lower 48 states.
Deception Pass
This is the bridge that connects Whidbey Island and Fidalgo Island. It is pretty high, but a big tourist spot. Brad used to go salmon fishing below the bridge fairly often.
Swinomish Casino & Lodge
This casino also has a pretty nice hotel attached. It is also, obviously, a casino. They have a lot of games and some good restaurants also. Located about 10 minutes east of Anacortes.
Anacortes Ferry Terminal
You can take this ferry to any of four other islands, San Juan, Lopez, Orcas, and Shaw Islands. San Juan is our favorite.
Anacortes Farmers Market
The Farmers Market will be the morning of the 18th, the day before the wedding from 9am to 2pm. They have a lot of great food trucks and local goodies to pick up.
