No description is necessary as Jarrod and Lucas have never known a life apart. They experienced a lot together, and though they grew apart during high school, since graduating college, they have rekindled their friendship. If you ever doubted that they would be friends forever, just ask them about their time playing tennis in Iowa. Honorable mention, ask them about the time when they were talking about playing tennis in Iowa when Laura's parents visited.
Alyssa Lucas
Maid of Honor
Alyssa and Laura met in the first few weeks of medical school. Little did they know that the next 4 years would contain dance recitals, pig shows, kayaking trips, and many many trips to the zoo. The culmination of this friendship is pending, but look for a local goat farm being opened in 40 years. Laura couldn't imagine a better person to stand next to her and be there for all the moments in between.

It was 2009. I was the kid from Illinois who lived in the honors dorm across campus. On occasion I'd stop by Jarrod's room before dinner, awkwardly turning on the Food Network because ESPN just wasn't my style (yet). Our friendship started there, growing stronger by day and with each mile, snickers, and starburst. Our hobbies include, and remain, romantic dinner dates to Paesano's Pasta House, cat parenting, and unnecessary trips to Jungle Jim's. -Matt

Laura and Alesha met while running on the track and cross country teams at Miami University. They have shared so many memorable experiences together as teammates, training buddies, and friends, one of them being school record holders in the DMR at Miami! Alesha is so excited to be a part of Laura and Jarrod's wedding and can't wait to stand next to her "big sister" on their special day!
Blake Dircksen

Jarrod and Blake met their freshman year at Miami University. They have enjoyed many memories since then, but most notable were the visits to Blake's family's lake house. Blake is also the source of Jarrod's first heartbreak when he announced that he would be transferring to Indiana University his sophomore year. As Jarrod isn't one to hold a grudge, they have remained good friends and are looking forward to spending time together over this wedding weekend.
Sydney Lesko

Sydney and Laura first met in 11th grade when Laura moved to Brownsburg. Sydney adopted Laura and taught her the ropes of the big city. Through many cold meets and hot cross country camps later, the two survived high school and became friends. After college, they kept in touch, and while no longer quite as speedy, still enjoy hanging out and exchanging dog parenting stories. Laura is so blessed to have Sydney in her life and will sometimes admit that maybe the move was one of the best things to happen to her.
Dave Wing

Dave and Jarrod met when Dave went on a recruiting visit to Miami. Surprisingly, Dave still opted to come to Miami, even after that meeting. There are too many good stories between the two of them to share just one (and also some of them aren't entirely appropriate), so we'll just leave it at that.
Jess Hoover

Jess met Laura when she came to Miami University as a freshman on the corss country and track and field teams. Jess immediately saw Laura's talent on the track and knew she would quickly become her training partner. What started as a compettive relationship on the track quickly turned into a lasting friendship - many miles together have a way of doing that. Jess and Laura share many memories, including trips to Mt. Sac, MAC Championships, track proms, and many more. Even though they're now separated by a few states (Jess moved to Denver in 2019), their friendship has withstood the test of time and is sure to bring many more fun adventures ahead.
Wade Coffin

Jarrod and Wade met at Miami through the track team. Wade was a frequent visitor to Pen Island and was a source of good music and stories. When Jarrod worked in Chicago, Wade and Jarrod spent a lot of nights eating good food and commiserating over Cleveland sports, specifically the World Series loss of 2016. They have since almost moved past that, and are looking forward to showing everyone what Cleveland is made of this wedding weekend.
Molly Leavitt

Laura and Molly met their first year of medical school when they were part of the same friend group. The event that sealed their bond forever was the infamous canoeing trip of 2017. Since then, they have always known they could rely on each other for anything, including getting out of a car-jam in the middle of nowhere Indiana. Always good for any adventure, Laura couldn't ask for a better person to stand up with her.
