Brother of the groom, whom Jarrod met in 1991 and coincidentally probably has not called him Jarrod since 1994. He is the family-nickname designator and Jarrod is otherwise known as "Dugga". Even though they went to rival colleges that never stopped Carl from being one of Jarrod's loudest hype man and you'll know when you hear it!

Daria Siegel

Maid of Honor

Friends by convenience, best friends by choice! Daria and Nicole first met at Bright Horizons pre-school and were soon celebrating every Jewish holiday together (this is what happens when you grow up in Charlotte, NC without many/any other Jews). they stayed close over the years, with Nicole even attending both of Daria's proms! Nicole is so grateful to have such a constant source of support and fun throughout the years.

Sister of the groom. She is your classic oldest sibling that did what every oldest sibling has done since the age of time: not letting her younger siblings cramp her style, but still bringing them to the high school and college parties and telling us to go "occupy" ourselves. And to this day those are some of Jarrod's favorite trips! She has looked after Jarrod all of his life and 20 years later she is still reminding him to check for his wallet before he leaves her house. Rumor has it...she'll have to remind him on the wedding night.

Jack Frey

Although content as an only child, Nicole infamously wanted a little sister and was less than thrilled when baby Jack arrived. Over the years, he's grown on her (literally, she's still not used to him being so tall!) and she's now grateful to have such a cool younger brother. He decided to move south (Florida) when she and Jarrod decided to move north (Michigan) but they are still as close as ever despite the distance.

Aaron Willis

Friend of the groom. If you ask Aaron, Jarrod will never get the day they met correct so we'll just start somewhere in the middle. Always encouraging each other to be better people in this world since they have left college, and we all need a friend like that. But don't let all of his degrees fool you, Aaron knows how to cut a rug on the dance floor and at some point the "Aunt Viv" will come out. If you know you know.

Shelby Dyl

After meeting at a frat cocktail at UNC, Shelby and “Nicky” eventually decided that it was more fun to ditch the guys and go to date functions together. Shelby took Nicole to He’s Not Here for the first time and, when they weren’t tearing up Franklin Street, they spent significant amounts of time cuddling, watching Gossip Girl, and/or eating puppy chow. Nicole takes credit for convincing Shelby she could/should handle the responsibility of a puppy in law school and Shelby takes credit for keeping Nicole and Jarrod on their toes in Catan.

AJ Swanson

Groomsman & Officiant

The brother-in-law to the groom and has been around since Jarrod was in elementary school. AJ is a jack of all trades and can do it all. Allegedly, he is the fastest hurdler on the Buchanon side of the family, but we don't acknowledge run times before 2005. However, Jarrod has been open to a rematch between Carl and AJ and himself, but neither have responded. To be determined on when, but if it does happen, have medics and stretchers on hand because all three of us might go down and I don't mean down as the fastest in history.

Tiffany Oliva

Anyone who has sorority experience knows the importance of finding THE ONE as your little. On Phi Mu bid day in 2014, Nicole met her sorority soul mate (whether Tiffany knew it or not) when the new bid was just as excited to dance and groove as she was! Although Tiffany is a bit younger, Nicole looks up to her as a role model and is constantly impressed and inspired by how dedicated Tiffany is to bringing light to those around her and improving her community.

Daniel Smith

Friend/Teammate/roommate of the groom. Jarrod met Daniel in 2003 after an epic footrace showdown in the gym during recess and the rest is history. It was a bonus they lived down the street from each other. Shoutout to Daniel’s parents for supplying DiGiorno and lemonade on a regular basis. Daniel and Jarrod were constantly pushing each other to new heights in athletics to the point where they both were able to land a position at the same university for undergrad for their respective sports! Daniel is now a bright innovator and creator, and Jarrod believes Daniel will design his and Nicole's next home....at least Jarrod hopes!

Rachel Moran

Friends by proximity, best friends by choice! Rachel and Nicole grew up across the street from each other where you could find them playing in the creek or creating a chalk-city or playing Roller Coaster Tycoon. They attended UNC together (go Heels!) and have many shared interests including fostering animals, traveling abroad, and reading (the OG Harry Potter nerds).

Matthew Barlow

Friend of the groom. Jarrod and Matt met in the 6th grade and Jarrod is grateful for how far they've come! Matt is a powerlifting guru, Siberian husky parent, finance by trade, and a great confidant on top of that. Matt can always come up with a good catchphrase for the group and for some reason Jarrod’s don’t seem to land (and no he’s not bitter or anything)… "Bro yes!"

Sarah Osaheni

They were each so excited to make a new friend in medical school that they went out the night between their first two major tests! Nicole knew she had to hold onto this girl after Sarah publicly scolded (yelled at?) Jarrod one of the first nights they were all out together. “I don’t want to get on her bad side… I think I’ll make her my best friend instead” was the literal thought process. Although Nicole may or may not be the bane of Mama Osaheni’s existence by supplying Sarah with skittles and Girl Scout cookies and encouraging her to adopt a cat, Nicole thinks the friendship has been an overall positive experience.

Bryce Wood

Former teammate/roommate of the groom. This is a friendship neither of them wanted initially, but can’t be more thankful for now. Apparently, their dads saw something special at the Notre Dame T&F meet & greet in 2010, because it obviously was not the glares of two 18-year-olds who were recruited for the same event. We are now convinced that it was our dads who wanted to be friends with each other. And on top of that, they were placed in the same dorm freshman year, so the stars aligned. It's always easy to pick up where they left off even while Bryce is doing big things in New York! Fun fact: Bryce is getting married 3 weeks before Jarrod, who will also be a part of his wedding day!

Caroline Maynard

Caroline is part of all of Nicole's ("Nicky's") favorite memories from HRHS - from baking and delivering cupcakes to hanging by the pool to frequent sleepovers, they were always together. They remain bonded over their careers in medicine but their caretaking nature both extend beyond humans to their love for animals. Caroline has been known to, temporarily and permanently, take in animals who need a little extra TLC (even an injured goose once!) and Nicole considers her a go-to for all things "animal".

Doug Kyrouac

Friend/former roommate of the groom. Doug is the definition of persistence is key. Nonetheless, he has been one of the best additions to Jarrod’s life since they met freshman year at Notre Dame. Especially, when Jarrod realized Doug scored nearly double his own score on every exam they took in the science courses. Even when Jarrod thought the max was 100 Doug would manage to get a score of 140. Their friendship continues to get better with time and with Doug’s spontaneity and adventure-seeking spirit, Jarrod knows there will be some good memories ahead!

Albert Frey

Nicole jokes that Albert was "her first friend in medical school" because she adopted him the very first day she moved to Erie, PA. She was equal parts annoyed and impressed when Albert quickly chose Jarrod as his favorite human. Although Jarrod would like Albert to do chores at least since he is living rent-free, don't let him fool you, he and Albert are BFFs.
