Let's just say Nicole is a go-getter! It was at Coconut Joe's in Erie, PA during our first year of medical school, where Jarrod was entertaining one of his former roommates who came to visit. But this didn't stop Nicole. She got the courage to come up to Jarrod after eyeing him in the lecture halls for weeks prior, and began to dance with him. However, Jarrod had other plans. He decided to go home early, but he did exchange numbers with her. As Nicole began to wonder if him telling her "he was going skydiving therefore he was unable to text" was a terrible lie, she decided it wasn't worth the trouble. Until Jarrod came swooping back in a week later asking for a study buddy for one of their courses in school. And 4 years later, Jarrod has no regrets about skydiving and Nicole has no regrets on walking up to that stranger at a bar.

A tale as old as time: while sitting alphabetically during LECOM orientation, Nicole could only see the first 1/3 of her peers. A certain, attractive "B" student sitting in an isle seat, a few rows ahead, caught her eye immediately. She was a bit confused by the odd "ND" emblem on his backpack (having never considered who/what Notre Dame was prior to meeting Jarrod) but she decided she would stage a meet-cute ASAP. Nicole enticed Jarrod with her impressive singing and dance moves at the local bars and soon they were official study buddies. Soon they were seeing each other every Monday for to watch Bachelor, every Wednesday to study for practicals, and every Friday for dancing at Coco Joe's or Docksiders. Falling in love with Jarrod is the last thing Nicole expected and the best thing she could have imagined while living in dreary Erie.
