It all began in our Anatomy class at ASU. I remember the first time I saw Jaron, I immediately texted all my best friends. "Guys there is this guy in my class and he is beautiful. I want him". Of course all my girlfriends were telling me to go talk to him or sit by him. I'm sorry but heck no. I am so shy and would never be able to work up the courage. So instead I just keep making awkward eye contact with him and would flash a smile then immediately look down. Everyday after class I would go use the restroom, it was like clock work. One day I was making my routine bathroom trip and what do you know.. Jaron happens to be walking right in front of me. My heart skipped a few beats as he held the door open for me. I ran into the bathroom and took a few deep breaths. I have the worst luck sometimes so of course the hand dryers were broken and the paper towel dispensers were empty. As I'm walking out of the bathroom, Jaron was walking out of the men's side. Once again, he was a gentleman and held the door open for me. We both took a few more steps, then all of the sudden he turned around and introduced himself. I start having a mini panic attack because this beautiful man is trying to say hi and my hands are still soaking wet from my bathroom trip. Just my luck! Embarrassed as ever, I explained why my hands were still wet and introduced myself. Throughout the next week we would sit next to eachother in class, made a study date, and had our first real date. Our first date is a whole other story. To make a long story short, our first date was on the same day as one of my friends 22nd birthday brunch. Hello bottomless mimosas! I showed up to our first date drunk in an Uber with lipstick on my teeth. Not my best look. But look at us now! Engaged and beyond excited to be able to spend the rest of our lives together!
