The one who always keeps me smiling and in stitches laughing about any and everything. Who never hesitates to put me first, even at times when I'm being a bit spoiled. Who has been patient with me and a true caregiver of my heart. I know married life will come with its ups and downs, but there's no one else I would rather spend the rest of my life with. God knew who to send when I asked for a man of God who would go to the ends of the earth with and for me and who would be my partner in life, love and ministry. A sister is a best friend from birth, and I’m blessed to have Tiara serve both roles in my life. Whether it was playing schoolteacher or getting us coordinated with a choreographed praise dance to one of dad’s gospel CDs, my fondest memories with Tiara always include her brightening a dull day. Her gift of leadership never went untapped. We’ve watched each other blossom and change yet it’s still surreal that a moment we discussed several times in childhood is coming to fruition. I’m excited to watch my sister walk down the aisle into a new chapter in this life and even more excited to watch God bless this union. She deserves nothing short of bliss.

I’m baby sis. Nuf said. I’ve known Tiara all my life and have learned so much from her. She taught me a lot of what not to do just by watching the consequences of her actions lol. But seriously, she taught me determination and perseverance with her 2 degrees and counting. She is the perfect example and poster child of faithfulness and hard work paying off. She never settled on less than what she deserved. I remember the first time I met Jared, he was very loud...I mean he was the life of the party? But seriously, though, Jared makes everyone (except 12) feel comfortable and welcome. She mellows him out and he brings out her silly side and makes her less stiff. 😂They share similar values but still challenge each other--the perfect yin yang and true definition of black love!

Faith brought us all together and Faith keeps all us connected. My friendship with Tiara began with her hating on my amazing dance skills, but she fell in love with my bright personality. Our team work is the root of our friendship with jokes, honesty and commentary that grows. Jared became the ride or die I never expected. My brother in Christ, my brother in music, my brother in life. The biggest crying thug I know. As an entertainer they have both been in my corner in different ways, and I’m so blessed to call them friends. I wish you nothing but happiness and black excellence in their union.

I’m Tiara’s “little big bro” (although that technically doesn’t make sense since it should be big little bro but hey lol). I don’t say it nearly enough but I love Tiara, my fam, and everyone in my life. Keeping the focus on Tiara though, she really wishes the best for everyone all the time regardless of what challenges she may face in her own life. On top of that, you can act funny and goofy with her one moment and then be serious the next but, regardless of the situation, you can always feel a strong sense of love and care with her that doesn’t get lost. Also, every time I see this man Jared he’s either laughing or making someone else laugh so I’m glad Tiara has her own personal comedy show 🤙🏾 Love you both and congrats!

Where do I begin?! Well, my name is Jamaica, and I've been friends with Tiara for 20+ years (my, how time flys)! From passing encoded notes in church, to going through growing pains together, and in adulthood being pillars of love and support through all of life's biggest blessings and disasters. It means the world to me to be able to share in your special day, and it come full circle with you and Jared getting married on Cali's birthday (hence the shared picture). Tiara and I met in 2015 through Fresh Oil Dance Ministry. Tiara was the leader and I admittedly knew she would be a lifetime sister in Christ. One of my favorite memories is sitting in on one of her law school lectures. It was at that moment I gained more respect for her. Tiara and I used to host book clubs and one book in particular that stood out was “Lady in Waiting." Ironically, in due time here comes Jared. Genuine in spirit and love for T, I developed respect for him and admired his passion for God. I watched how he continued to show up for her even when she unknowingly pushed him away. Tiara and I met in 2008, during our time at Loyola. Though we never had any classes together, we became fast friends. Tiara’s joy, kindness, and funny side made college so much more memorable. Together, with our friend group, we have had many adventures (including camping in the middle of Minnesota) and though distance is keeping us apart, it is thanks to Tiara that we continue to remain grounded in our friendship. For this reason, I know that if she has found a partner in Jared; he is truly worthy, for I am sure that his love and faith must match hers. I am overjoyed to be part of their union, and wish them nothing short of a lifetime of happiness.

31 years ago God blessed me with Tiara. When the nurse escorted me into the nursery, I knew which baby was my perfect little angel. When I looked at her I instantly fell in love. In 2017, Tiara introduced me to Jared. He said when he met Tiara he was in a dark place and was so happy she came into his life. Now every time I see you, you’re happy and joyful. You two bring out the best in each other. Jared you are a great addition to our family and are greatly loved by us all. Lord I pray that Tiara and Jared will continue to bring out the best in each other. Whatever they do may they always keep each other in mind.
