We met in Fall 2016, and at first, we were just friends. Jared had just moved to Madison for a clerkship, and knew not a soul in Wisconsin. Sophie, by contrast, was surrounded by friends and family. Luckily, a mutual friend offered to introduce us. It was first coffee, then a hockey game, then Yom Kippur break fast at the Rosens... and still, we were just friends. But, as the wise and insightful Jewish mother that she is, Diane knew that Jared was interested in more. It was true, and eventually Jared mustered up the courage to ask Sophie out on a date. The rest is history!

We spent a wonderful year and a half in Madison, enjoying our time with great family and friends. But after Sophie finished law school, we decided to move to Boston to reunite with the Cohen clan, and pursue our legal careers.

Jared proposed to Sophie in Sanibel, Florida, while celebrating Passover with the Rosens. As a fair trade for moving to Boston, and to celebrate in the place where we fell in love, Jared agreed to have the wedding in Madison (as if he had any choice). We can't wait to celebrate with all of our close friends and family. We are so grateful for your love and support throughout our relationship and cross-country move. Now let's boogie!
