Meet us under the chuppah!

While we wish we had a cute story about how we first met, we met on a dating app. However, the first time we met face to face was cute in its own right. After about a week of texting we met at Bel Air Tacos on Downer in Milwaukee. Jared almost flaked out! Thankfully his mom, Wendy, convinced him to still go. As soon as Seth walked through the door and locked eyes with Jared, it was love at first sight. We know that sounds cheesy but just ask the waitress who had to come back over 5 times for our order because we were too busy talking to look at the menu. Jared was also so nervous that he didn't want to eat so our first "dinner" together was just sharing guacamole and Seth having a taco. One highlight of the conversation was discovering we have a shared, and continuing, love for Survivor.

After beginning our love journey in Milwaukee where Seth was teaching and Jared was finishing his Bachelor's degree, we took a short break to grow as individuals before coming back together a few months later. We did a year of semi-long distance with Seth in Chicago and Jared in Milwaukee, thankfully it wasn't that long of a drive. Jared moved down to Chicago to work on his Masters of Social Work while Seth continued to teach. Then came the big move to Denver. Initially, we both worked in the same building, Seth as a teacher, Jared as a School Social Worker. After several months, Jared moved on to bigger and better things working in the modeling industry.

This June, we are moving back to the place where it all began: Milwaukee! Jared will continue to work mostly from home, and gets to travel to NYC every other month for work. Seth is going to be making a long awaited change, leaving the classroom as a teacher, and applying for law school this fall to become a student. This is our year in so many ways, and the highlight of course will be sharing an amazing day with you all to celebrate our love and future together.
