Jared and Rene met in a computer chat one night when she was sixteen in New Jersey and he was twenty in North Dakota. They spent a summer glued to their phones, indulging in late night conversations that were supposed to last a couple hours and instead lasted over days, months and years. They remained a constant grounding point for two incredibly close friends that never thought they would get to meet face to face. The two kept in touch through marriage, babies, and cross-country moves (Jared to North Carolina and Rene to California). They stayed in touch through breakups and heartaches, continually reaching out to one another for comfort and connection, for many years thinking that friendship and distance were the only options they had. Asheville, NC and San Francisco, CA both have at least one thing in common; a polyamorous community that know that romantic love is not limited to one human and one human alone. Both Jared and Rene found themselves in polyamorous relationships, and with that were able to reach out to one another romantically without the fear of not being able to fulfill the others needs because of distance. For the first time, the romantic door was safely opened with the blessings of their other partners after almost eight years of those late night conversations they finally started dating. Neither Jared nor Rene can imagine life without the other in it anymore. After two years of distance dating, several metamours, and two adorable kidlets the polyfamily that started as late-night long distance impossibles will be ending in a happily ever after in the Bay that not even the plague can stop. Whether joinng digitally, in person at the micro-wedding, or waiting for the big celebrations to come both bride and groom look forward to celebrating a very different type of fairy tale with you
