My sister, my best friend. She's been there through the good, the bad, the ugly. We've shared rooms, toys, cars, clothes, the court, and I couldn't imagine this day without her right next to me. She's beautiful and talented and I couldn't be more proud to be her big sister. She's taught me so much about life sometimes I wonder how I am older. God sure blessed me in the sister department.

Holly Jo where do I even start! She was my first friend at Mount Marty and we've basically been inseparable since the summer of 2012. We played the same position in basketball and we were always partners on the court and partners in crime off the court. From bus buddies, drinking buddies, roomies, to life long friends, I count her as another sister. I've had some of my worst hangovers with Holly, but also some of the best college memories, and I wouldn't trade those times for anything in the world.
Kayli Van Winkle

Kayli is my first cousin and we grew up together. When she moved to Bon Homme I couldn't have been more happy. We are so much alike that at times we butted heads, but she's always been there for me. Playing volleyball was something we both shared a love for and we clicked so well when we played together it is something I will always cherish. I got the chance to stand by Kayli on her wedding day and I am so excited to have her do the same for me. Even though she tried to kill me with a cotton ball when we were like 7.
Cassidy Gebhart

I met Cassidy when she transferred to Mount Marty our sophomore year of college and she fit right in immediately. Cass was Holly's roommate so Holly and I drug her along to all of our shenanigans. We ended up living together for two years at the Green Monster and became very close. I don't think I would have survived senior year of college without her by my side. We also got to experience the final four of the NAIA National Tourney together which was pretty awesome. Even though Cass lives out of town now we still talk almost every day and I am so proud of her becoming Dr. Gebhart and chasing her dreams.
Dana Kubal

Dana and I have been friends since elementary school in Tabor. I spent many days growing up on her farm as she did at my house. Dana has always been my go to for advice or when I need a good heart to heart. Dana has the biggest heart of anyone I know even though she's gone through so much in her life. She's always up for an adventure or a good time. I know her mom is smiling down on us and shaking her head at all of our shenanigans. Just two bohemian girls always having a good time.
Tara Ronke

Tara has been one of my best friends since the 6th grade. Being boy crazy middle schoolers to partners on the basketball court. When we first graduated college and went to rival schools I was so lost without her. We used to send novels back and forth to each other about what was going on in our lives. I am glad the distance never came between us. We always made up for lost time when she came to MMC to visit. If you ask her she always said I am a bad influence and cause her hangovers, but she won't admit how much fun we always have! We used to talk all the time growing up being in each others weddings and I am glad it is finally coming true.

Molly and I became friends our freshman year at Mount Marty. We spent almost every waking minute together that first year. Molly knows all of the heartache I went through before finding Jared and she was always there for every bad decision and tears I had. Molly is not afraid to call me out when I am acting ridiculous and no matter how crazy or crabby I am she somehow managed to stay friends with me. Even though now we don't get to see each other everyday when we do nothing ever changes and I truly appreciate her for always being there when I need her.

Marisa is Jared's sister. When I first started dating Jared I knew how important family was to him and I was so nervous to meet his siblings and hoping they'd like me. So in true Raquel fashion I drank 3 bottles of wine and met Marisa drunk on a Sunday afternoon. Apparently I did fine during that impression because Jared told me she liked me and I couldn't have been more excited. Now being neighbors for two years we have become close. I love seeing her achieve her dreams of being a nurse and still being an amazing young mom all at the same time. She is so much fun and we always have a good time. I get the opportunity to stand beside her on her wedding day and I can't wait for her to do that for me as well.

Britta is married to Jared's brother. When I first met Britta I knew we were going to be great friends. She loves vodka, dancing, the Dixie Chicks, and bad karaoke just as much as I do. I love our late night garage karaoke jam sessions. Britta is also the best hype woman. She's always so supportive, positive, and full of great ideas to help with anything you ask. I envy her for always opening her heart to help others. Britta has been a surrogate twice to help a family grow and I am so proud to say I know someone who is willing to sacrifice her mind and body to bring the miracle of life for others. God's light is always radiating from Britta.

Cheyenne was another teammate, friend, and roommate at the Green Monster. Cheyenne is probably the toughest, most hard working girl I know. She's so beautiful, but isn't afraid to get down and dirty on the farm. Cheyenne played the same position as I did in basketball so we spent a lot of time together doing drills and talking about the game. When we were roommates Cheyenne and I grew close. She's always up for a good heart to heart or having a beer if that's what I needed.

Molly went to high school with Cassidy and came to a few of our home basketball games senior year of college where she met my friend Ted. She and Ted are now in love and since they started dating Molly and I have become close. Molly is always so much fun to be around and we always manage to have a good time together. One thing I love about Molly is that she is so easy to get a long with. She fit right in with our friend group when she started to come around. She's got a contagious laugh and a big smile for everybody. I got to help Molly experience her first Czech Days a couple years ago and I think she's been back every year since. Glad to have Molly as a part of our special day and my life. And bless her heart for taking care of Ted, she's a saint.
