Maid of Honor
I'm beyond fortunate that my little sister is also a great friend. We grew up sharing hotel beds, clothes, and advice. There were definitely times we got on each other's nerves, but now we annoy each other just for fun. As we grew into adults, we became closer and continued to spend time together, hanging out with each other's respective friends and love interests. Audrey approved of Jared from the get-go, even though she is an Ohio State fan and he hails from Penn State. There's no one else I would rather have by my side, and I'm honored she agreed to be my Maid of Honor!
Best Man
I officially met Denny on my first day of work at The Bicycle Shop in State College. I'd known his wife since our freshman year at Penn State, but Denny and I had never really talked. As time passed and Denny came to the shop we talked more and more. We started riding bikes together and our friendship blossomed into a beautiful flower. That is, a flower that is covered in mud and listens to fast, angry music. Over the years we discovered that we shared interests outside of the biking world, and even after Denny moved to Arkansas we never really lost touch. He still begs me to come visit him (obsessive much?). I am honored that he, one of my best friends, agreed to be beside me on one of the most important days of my life.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and I were assigned as roommates the summer of our sophomore year of high school when we attended a two-week Hollins University Education camp. We hit it off immediately and bonded. Years later, we ran into each other again when we both attended JMU, and picked up right where we left off! Later in our adult life, we had the opportunity to be roommates again for several years and became even closer friends. I can't wait to share my special day with her!
Groomsman
I met Calvin when Clare took me to meet her best friend Rachel. Calvin and I were immediately able to connect over our shared nerdiness. Although everyone else ganged up on me in board games that night, I wasn't too upset to go back for more. After several D n' D sessions and double dates, I soon found that I was talking to Calvin nearly every day. I knew that I couldn't miss the opportunity to ask as good a friend as Calvin to be with me at my wedding.
Bridesmaid
I got to meet Jared's sister when he brought me to meet his family in the beginning of November in 2019. We went to a concert and had a great time! I got to see her for her son Grady's first birthday party the following January, and have looked forward to family meet ups with her ever since! I'm the luckiest gal to have such a sweet, funny, and caring sister-in-law to be! Her oldest son Grady, pictured, is going to be our ring bearer!
Groomsman
I met Chad while working at The Bicycle Shop in State College. Throughout our first year working together we started to race mountain bikes against each other. During the least serious rivalry ever, our finish times were incredibly close. Between group rides, races, and training, it was nice to have someone so close to my fitness level that could push me. I'm really glad that Chad is back from Florida and is able to be a part of my wedding party.
Bridesmaid
Aira and I met as coworkers in early 2011. I was the newbie, and as I was trained in more bench departments I got to spend more and more time with her. We became bench buddies, shared many a breakfast break together, and then started socializing outside of work. Even when we changed jobs, we still remained friends. I had a blast at her bachelorette party, and I'm ecstatic to have her as a part of my entourage!
Groomsman
You know the story of how rivals eventually become best friends? Well that's Larry and me. We first met in a bike race where we passed each other multiple times, with Larry eventually beating me. After that we always talked when Larry came into The Bicycle Shop and quickly became friends. Eventually we were co-workers, Penn State football analysts, and riding buddies. Larry is one of my best friends, my own personal cheerleader, and someone I wouldn't dare stand at the altar without.
Bridesmaid
Mary was my roommate our freshman year of college at JMU. Turns out we lived in the same county! We got along so well that we requested to be roommates again the next year. Our college years were full of shared rides back home, studying together, and going to the gym at godawful early hours. After JMU we remained friends and kept in touch, even when she moved out of state for a few years. I'm so happy to have her with me!

Madison was originally some random kid I ended up riding bikes with through a mutual friend. He started working at The Bicycle Shop shortly before I did, and we instantly remembered the day we met. Since then Madison has always inspired me to push myself as an athlete. We've had far too many good times to list here, but I'm so pleased that my friend, coach, and fellow 80's sci-fi movie enthusiast will be with me on Clare's big day.
