We both swiped right on Tinder! After heated text discussions debating why certain foods are classified in different categories and proving how nerdy we are to each other, we decided to meet in person for dinner. He made a great impression on me by asking me to finish our dessert. Following dates included bowling (I won), Top Golf (he won), and an evening originally intended for watching a football game that turned into a movie night (we both won). By that time we were pretty smitten with each other.
As a fairly new couple in early 2020, the arrival of the Coronavirus forced us to make a choice. With me working in healthcare and Jared ordered to work from home, there were only two real options. We could stay apart for the duration of the lockdown, not knowing when it would end, or we could move in together. We chose the latter! After cohabitating for six months and not murdering each other, we both knew we had something very special. Jared arranged for both our families to meet us at the end of a corn maze on October 18, 2020. When I exited the maze first I was so intent on finishing that I didn't recognize the entourage that had formed! I turned around to see Jared on one knee, and the rest is history!
