Wedding Party

Meet our ridiculously fun, awesome people standing by our side July 17th.

Sarah Vanderlinda

Matron of Honor

My twin, my other half, my sweet sissy, Sarah. Not only is she the first best friend I've been privileged to have, she's been a steadfast confidant, resource for wisdom, safe haven, refuge, and comfort along my joyful, transformational walk with Christ. She's been an anchor & lighthouse in the darkest of nights for me, and I am forever grateful. Sarah is the most incredible sister, mother, friend, and daughter I know, I am HONORED to have her stand by my side on my special day. Sarah currently lives in the Gig Harbor area with her Husband, and my precious niece, Gracelyn Love. She's an avid reader, writer, lover of nature and the present moment. She's ridiculously funny and drives our wild, crazy family to witty and wacky times. I adore her, you will too.

Kristin Soult

Bridesmaid

The beautiful, the ridiculous, the most generous person I know: the wild & wonderful Kristin Soult! Kristin and I have been best friends for over 23 years. We met in elementary school walking to the bus stop, and have been non-stop friends ever since. Her passion for people, the Nations, missions, travel, writing, beauty, and joy is unmatchable. She moves from Anchorage, AK to Denver, CO this fall, and I couldn't be more excited about the proximity! I'll have you know, she helped me rack up the nerve to talk to Jared about our future (the big convo, about spending the rest of our lives together, yeah, that one). She'll be by my side July 17th--and without a doubt-- all the days following. I love you, Kristin. You're my #1.

Katie Carver

Bridesmaid

If it's a game, she's in. The competitive, the kind, the brilliant & wonderfully hilarious-- Katie! I had already graduated by the time Katie met my brother, TJ, in college, but fear not, a move back to Spokane in 2016 paved the way for a beautiful friendship & sisterhood. We found we truly enjoyed each other's company --not just as obligatory sisters--but as dear friends. Katie has been an inspiration to me since day one, what with her love for cooking, good food & wine, the outdoors, travel, music, art and the nations. Her grace and compassion are contagious, as well as her laugh and silliness. She teaches me to be fierce, brave, and use my voice. Katie moves from Spokane to the west side of WA this fall and I couldn't be more thrilled for them!

Amy Brown Carver

Bridesmaid

What a privilege to know Amy 13 years now! I'm honored to have her by my side on my special day! She stole my brother's heart in college and became a fast friend and inspiration. We bonded while living in Spokane (a theme, you'll notice), & share a love for the simplicities of life: board games, beer, eclectic stories, books, spontaneity, offensive humor, & the like. She is a trailblazer, constantly creating new works (i.e.- podcast, scripts, writing, stories, thoughts, etc.). If it's not one thing, it's another. She's on the move but equally loves to relax, watch good films, & roller skate. She & my brother, Mitch, live with their cat, Phryne, in LA, so I'm stoked to be close for hang outs & family time!

Kaitlin Johnson

Bridesmaid

This one is fun :) Kaitlin and I met as youngins in Gig Harbor. Our brothers were tight, but our true connection point was my friend/her cousin, Dana. We went to the same school, church, youth group, mission trips, and college. I showed up July 2019 in San Diego and Kaitlin quickly took me under her wings, showing me The San Diego Way. She's a fierce and loyal friend, with whom I've had the privilege of sharing countless rich experiences, adventures, and conversations about life. Kaitlin teaches me to think smarter not harder, to say yes to a blind date ;), to dream big dreams and always see God as even bigger than those dreams. She and her husband, Matt, are an absolute power couple--it's a joy to share life with them, I look forward to doing so even more in the future!

Sara Nkemontoh

Bridesmaid

How do I speak to the amazingness of Sara? After meeting in college, our stories have woven in & out of each others' lives ever since. I am a better person because of her! She has a GIFT of speaking hope, life, truth & encouragement into others, specifically woman. She loves daringly, cares deeply for her husband, baby, & (let's be honest) dog. The Nkemontoh family have been a huge part of my story- in Spokane, the south, and now San Diego. Sara and I are happiest when going on spontaneous road trips, eating tiny things, drinking delectable wine, singing together, standing on the coast, talking about Jesus, and mocking our younger, less mature selves. She and her family move from CA to NC this summer, we will miss them greatly, but they will always be an anchor for my life.

Laura Bloomquist

Bridesmaid

It's the one & only, Bobby! Somehow Bobby (or Bob) stuck as a nickname in college. Laura and I met at Whitworth Univ. We lived on the same hall in the all freshman dorm, Baldwin-Jenkins. (That's where I happened to meet Nancy and Sara, by the way. It was a magical dorm.) The thing about Laura is, she is FULL OF JOY. That was my first impression of her, & hasn't changed to this day. She exudes peace, authenticity, & a fervor for making you feel 100% heard & seen, unlike anything I've known. Her ears & shoulders have bore the weight these past few years while we've lived apart, yet stayed in touch via text & voice messaging. Laura recently moved from SD back to Portland with her husband, & sweet girl, Audrey. She & I will forever connect as lovers of our PNW based, big, boisterous families!

Nancy Trang

Bridesmaid

Nancy is my kindred spirit. She is a lover of dogs, nature, people, & learning. Nancy & I met via FB, attempting to get to know our pre-nursing classmates before college began. Thank GOD we both thought we wanted to be nurses (turns out I wanted to be a teacher, and Nancy a social worker, go figure!). Our adventures always include spontaneity, hikes, couch surfing, engaging with the locals, & going with the flow. Our collective motto is, "Wherever you are, there you'll be." I wish I could convey how much she's impacted me over the years. I've never met a more selfless, caring, and generous soul. My friendship with Nancy has carried me to an unmatchable fortitude, light-heartedness, and fervor for life. It is an HONOR to stand next to her July 17th. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Jake Piering

Best Man

Meet Jake. The best cousin brother I know. He loves both drinking and walking in water. If you are camping in a desert and forget it freezes at night he will be there to warm you up. If you are hungry he can make you one mean taco whilst playing Tijuana Taxi and as a side show he will whip you in ping pong.

Matt Johnson

Groomsman

Meet my friend Matt. When taking boat rides he prefers ferries over cruise ships. Driving in foreign countries is his specialty. He knows the true meaning of organic. If you threw a potato at him he would have a plate of hash browns whipped up real quick. Ask him if he has barreled and he would say yes.

Luke Berglund

Groomsman

Meet Luke. The other half of my modeling career, Liberty and Justice. We have spent lots of solid time together traveling thought the country sleeping or attempting to sleep in the car with one case of sleep driving. We have summited peaks together and have maybe canoed creeks.
