The Wedding Website of Alejandra Parra and Jared Borocz-Cohen
We are so grateful for everyone who is embarking on this exciting adventure with us in Colombia - the bride’s motherland. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and we cannot wait to celebrate with each of you!

Flight

CTG

We can't wait for everyone to see the Cartagena Airport! It's small, but it accommodates. CTG is the only airport to fly into. Little do most people know, Colombia is huge. It's about 8 times larger than the state of Georgia and twice the size of Texas. There are multiple ways to fly into CTG. We have seen some decent fares at this point, so if you find something within the price range below, you should book! Typically, the best fares are about 120-150 days prior to the date. Nonetheless, we advise everyone to research flights on google flights or Hopper and set an alert for prices of your preferred route. We will continue to update this section with flight numbers and routes. Historically, flights from Atlanta are $400-$600 - Airlines: JetBlue (1 stop in FLL); Delta (direct but only runs Sat); Spirit (1 stop in MCO); American (1 stop MIA) From Miami or Fort Lauderdale: Price Range: $250-$400 - all direct Airlines: Avianca; JetBlue; American

Hotel

Hotel Sofitel Legend Santa Clara Cartagena

Carrera 8 #39-29
Cartagena, Bolívar 130001, Colombia
 011 57 (5) 6504700

This is where the magic happens. Welcome to the location of the festivities! The wedding is located exclusively at this hotel. It's a beautiful 17th century building, transformed from the once Convent of Saint Clare of Assisi. We would love for everyone to stay here with us! Considering the wedding technically doesn't have an end time, we recommend staying close. We have reduced room rates for all guests. You can choose from five different categories of rooms, and even request connecting rooms. It is very important that, unlike flights, you book your room as soon as feasible as there are a limited number of rooms. You can receive a full refund (hotel charges CC when you reserve) up to 15 days before the wedding, so we advise to book a room now, even if you are unsure, as the rooms will fill up! To book, call the hotel or click the photos tab and download the room reservation form at the end. It has rates and instructions to reserve a room! Use a CC with no foreign transaction fee!

Hotel

Bovedas Santa Clara

Carrera 2
Cartagena, Bolívar 130001, Colombia

Another option is the Sofitel’s sister hotel, Bovedas Santa Clara. It’s located almost next door to the Sofitel and allows you to use all the Sofitel amenities. This is a boutique hotel, so it’s much smaller but still quite luxurious. You can book this on tripadvisor.com or go to the Accorhotels website and sign up for member rates, this will lower the rates by 10%.

House Or Rental

AirBNB

For groups of friends or family traveling together, Cartagena offers several amazing AirBNB options — many of which can house up to 16 people comfortably! If you choose to do this option, just make sure you pick one in the old city close to the hotel (while the old city is not large, the city of Cartagena is giant!) Also remember, while technically only the main event is located in the Sofitel, there will be lots of breakfasts, drinks, and hangout sessions at the hotel the whole weekend. Don't miss out! As a note, the hotel is quite strict on non-hotel guests. Thus, you likely won't be able to jump over and join your friends at its pool. If you are debating where to stay or which Airbnb to book, please contact either Ale or Jared. We will be happy to assist!

Travel Note

Transportation

When you arrive, you can take a 5 minute taxi drive to the hotel. It should be less than $10 USD. Please use the fare estimate machine outside the airport, next to the money exchange, to find out the correct price of your ride, and confirm the price with the driver before getting into the taxi. To get around the city, we suggest walking. The old city is so small, you can walk from one end to the other in about 15 minutes! If you’d like to explore the newer part of Cartagena or go outside of the walled city, we suggest taking a taxi. They are cheap and safe, so no need for rentals!
