Wedding Party

Meet the friends and family who will be standing beside us on our wedding day.

Lucie Campbell

Matron of Honor

Kara and Lucie were introduced by their freshman year roommates after rushing the same sorority, Delta Zeta. Two people couldn't be more different, and yet they complement each other so well. Ever since that day, they have been best friends, despite often living thousands of miles apart. If you see Lucie at the wedding, strike up a conversation about travel, rugby, pasta or bagels.

Jenny Stephen

Maid of Honor

Jenny and Kara became close friends when they lived in the same house senior year of college at Indiana University. After both moving to Chicago post-grad, they became each other’s closest friend in the city, regularly going to dinner and having girls nights. If you see Jenny at the wedding, ask about the best restaurants in Chicago, growing up in St. Louis, and the process of helping Nate pick out Kara’s engagement ring.

Allison Neal

Maid of Honor

Allison and Kara also became close friends when they lived in the same house senior year of college. Allison and Kara regularly travel back and forth from Indianapolis to Chicago and have taken multiple couples trips to Michigan. If you see Allison at the wedding, ask her about her dog Archie, cheerleading at IU, or her nickname "Alli-Sauce".

Hannah Wilson

Bridesmaid

Hannah and Kara met when Hannah started dating Kara’s older brother, Ian. They bonded quickly when they spent months together at Kara’s parents house in Florida during COVID, and now spend time together in Chicago where they frequently go to dinner, yoga, or golfing as a foursome with Nate and Ian. If you see Hannah at the wedding, bring up her newfound love of golf, growing up in Saginaw, and spending five months with her boyfriend’s parents the first time they met.

Brie Puskaric

Bridesmaid

Brie recently married Nate's older brother, Kevin, making Brie and Kara soon to be sisters-in-law. Kara met Brie on one of her first dates with Nate and they have been friends ever since. The couples often spend time together in Chicago boating on Kevin and Brie's new boat, going out to dinners, and spending time together at family gatherings. If you get a chance to talk to Brie at the wedding, ask her about the "Sea-Brieze" or her recent wedding in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Kevin Puskaric

Best Man

Kevin is Nate's older brother and has paved many paths for him over his life. He was always nice enough to let Nate tag along, and it created some of the best memories of Nate's life. Nate has always looked up to Kevin, inspired by his ability to dedicate himself to his passions, whether at that moment it happens to be jeeps, dirt bikes, swimming, boats, or his career. If you are lucky enough to spend time with Kevin at the wedding, talk to him about building hospitals, being an olympic trials athlete multiple times, or his new boat.

Jake Austerman

Best Man

Nate started hanging out with Jake when he attended Michigan State and they formed a unique bond. Between hanging out in the dorms and regular business meetings over tea in the cafeteria, they spent a lot of time together. Upon moving to Chicago, the amount of time spent together increased, probably setting a world record for the amount of time 2 non-roommates were in the same place. Pondering life, playing chess, and enjoying Jake's feeble attempts to play sports that involve throwing a ball. If it were not for Jake taking diligent care of Nate, he probably would have succumbed to dehydration or starvation at some point by now. If you run into Jake, ask him about the revitalization of Detroit, how to make the best buffalo chicken dip, or why there aren't any creeks in the city.

Jordan Sikkema

Best Man

Nate and Jordan met their sophomore year of college while playing water polo at Michigan State. Shortly after college, Jordan wanted to move to Chicago and Nate agreed to join him. Since then Nate has relied on Jordan like a brother. From college, to living together, to a bunch of vacations, they continue to make memories that will last them a lifetime. If you have a chance to meet Jordan, ask him about designing and building his family home, water polo, or particle physics.

Lucas Puskaric

Groomsman

Nate met Lucas when he was born, because they are brothers. When Nate's parents took him into the basement to announce he was gaining a brother, he stated something to the effect of "That just changed my life". Even though Lucas is younger, Nate always admired Lucas. His intelligence, infectious personality, sense of humor, genuine compassion and educated perspective on a variety of topics make him one of the most well rounded people you will have the pleasure of meeting. If you do meet at the wedding, ask him how old he was when he started coding, if he has any book recommendations, or about the time he handcuffed himself to the toilet in protest during a home renovation.

Paul Reschke

Groomsman

Nate met Paul in high school when Paul started showing up to water polo practice. He knew guys on the team and wanted to play ultimate frisbee with us. After college, Nate would crash on Paul's couch since he was the first to move into the city, and he ended up living with Paul for about 2 years when Paul bought his condo in Wrigleyville. Through his uniquely Paul sense of humor and ability to recall specifics about interactions, everyone that meets Paul falls in love with him. Sometimes not at first, but eventually he'll slide into your DMs and mention something extremely relevant and you'll be friends for life. If you talk with Paul, ask him how much his dog weighs, if coffee goes with peanut butter, or about his Indiana State record muskie.

Ian McDonald

Groomsman

Nate and Ian are soon-to-be brothers. Ian invited Nate golfing with his friends, so Nate and Kara went out and bought an entire new set of clubs so he didn't have to show up with his half set of junior clubs. That purchase was the early phase of a now strong obsession with golf. They have grown closer over the duration of Nate's relationship with Kara, having lived together a few times at the McDonald house in Florida during COVID, going on golf trips, being neighbors in West Loop and spending a lot of fun occasions together. If you have a chance to meet Ian, ask him about hanging out with Bryson DeChambeau, what Jim Cramer is saying recently, or how to properly enter launch mode.

Pat Falconer

Groomsman

Nate met Pat when joined the Michigan State swim team with Kevin. Hanging around in Wonders Hall, going to the Izzone Campout and eventually becoming roommates when the 2 of them moved in with Kevin. They both ended up in Chicago and have had times where they would hangout every day for weeks and weeks. If you end up talking with Pat, ask him about fixing things, his 2 dogs, or what it's like to be the only guy in our group of friends with sisters.

Pat Doyle

Groomsman

Nate and Pat became instant friends freshman year of high school. With some time to kill before getting picked up from a school dance, they ended up hanging out at a blockbuster and that kicked things off. They saved space in each others year books because they knew they would never stop being friends. With a large number of adventures under their belts, they have remained close friends. Pat even asked him to be a Godfather to his first child, Finn. If you find yourself chatting with Pat, ask him about his beautiful family (that recently added twin girls), if he still remembers my phone number by heart, or what sound a giraffe makes.
