Flight

Getting Into London

There are four major airports in the UK within three hours of the venue: London Heathrow Airport (LHR), London Gatwick Airport (LGW), London Luton Airport (LTN), and Bristol Airport (BRS). The closest airports are Bristol, which is an hour away, and Heathrow, which is just over two hours away. We recommend flying into Heathrow. For travelers wanting to spend some time in the city, London is easily accessible from Heathrow and has an abundance of transportation options. Heathrow is also the largest of the major airports in the area, so there are generally cheaper flights and a wider range of airlines to choose from.

Travel Note

Getting to Brympton

So....are you ready to drive on the left side of the road? Brympton is most easily accessed via driving, so we recommend renting a car for the trek from London to Yeovil. Heathrow has several car rental options right at the airport. We have used Enterprise in the past and had good experiences. A word of advice from our past experience... get the rental insurance in case you run into a Cathy. And do not rent with Hertz. From Heathrow, you will follow M25(s) for approximately five miles before taking the exit at junction 12 for M3. You will follow M3 for about 32 miles before taking junction 8 for A303. You will spend pretty much the rest of the drive on A303. As a heads up, there are several roundabouts on A303 which will seem daunting at first if you have never driven in the UK, but lanes are usually marked well. You will take A303 to Bluebell Rd which you will follow for a little over a mile until you reach Brympton Ave on your left. You will now be at the Brympton property and just need to follow the signs for the venue. If driving just isn't your cup of tea, you can take a train to Yeovil and take a ride-share service to the property. The trip is just under three hours and requires two transfers. You hop on the Elizabeth Line at Heathrow and take the train to the Paddington stop. At Paddington, you will connect to the Great Western Railway (GWR) towards Plymouth. You will take this line until you reach the Westbury stop and switch trains for the GWR towards Weymouth. This train will take you to Yeovil Pen Mill, your final stop. The Brympton house is an 11-minute drive from Yeovil Pen Mill. While you can take a train and public transportation to Yoevil from Bristol, travel times for the train can take upwards of twelve hours with limited availability, so we highly recommend renting a car if you choose to fly into Bristol.
