Things To Do

Museum of Science

1 Science Park, Boston, MA 02114

Obviously, we highly recommend you visit the Museum of Science! While we will be partying in the Blue Wing during the reception, there is so much more to explore: the IMAX/Omni Theater, the Theater of Electricity, New England Habitats (Ian's favorite) - the list goes on!

Boston Duck Tours

Museum Of Science Driveway, Boston, MA 02114

An iconic Boston activity, the Duck Tours have boats/cars that depart from the Museum of Science throughout the day. If you're interested in a silly, somewhat accurate tour of the city by land and by sea, the Duck Tours are a great pick. We recommend purchasing tickets in the morning you plan to go or the day before - they can sell out quickly day-of. (Note for parents: they often let kids "drive" while you're on the Charles River)

Bow Market

1 Bow Market Way, Somerville, MA 02143

A friend described Bow Market as "Epcot for Millennials" and, well, it's kind of true. Arranged around an outdoor courtyard, Bow has a variety of small shops, a pinball arcade, Ian's favorite record store, and food stalls with a wide range of cuisines. It is also where the welcome party will take place. We recommend grabbing dinner here before joining us at Remnant Brewing!

The City is Your Oyster!

Boston is a pretty small city geographically, so anything that strikes you as "iconic Boston" will be relatively accessible. Want to get a cannoli in the North End? Check out Harvard or MIT? Walk the Freedom Trail? See the empty frames from one the world's greatest art heists at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and maybe see art at the MFA too? All of these and more are around 30 minutes away on public transportation or 15 minutes via ride share. Just be prepared that you might be waiting an hour for your cannoli and Harvard Square will likely be crowded with tourists! The Kimpton Marlowe is also literally across the street from the Charles River and its lovely pedestrian path.
