What is the dress code?

Pre-Wedding Beach Social: Beach Casual (Dress, chinos, linen pants, shorts, buttoned or polo shirt. Sandals, slippers, loafers, and fashion sneakers are all acceptable. No jeans, t-shirts, or tanks, please. Relaxed but photo-ready.) Wedding Ceremony: Beach Formal (Dress, jumpsuit, long-sleeve shirt and pants. Jacket preferable, tie optional, chinos and linen pants acceptable. Breathable fabrics suggested. No jeans, shorts, tanks, t-shirts, sneakers, or flip-flops, please.) Note: Both venues have hard floor surfaces and will not be on the sand. Post-ceremony photos will be on the beach. Mosquitoes may be present this time of year, especially at the first venue, so plan accordingly.

Where can I stay for free?
Answer
At the Delaware Seashore State Park Campground! You can arrive as early as Friday afternoon and stay until as late as Tuesday morning. Contact us by April 20th, if interested.

How do I get to Southern Delaware?
Answer
Travel to Southern Delaware is only feasible by car. Some folks will be carpooling from Newark, DE, and others from Philadelphia, PA. The distance from Newark to Cape Henlopen is ~90 miles (1 hr 45 min). The distance from Philadelphia is ~125 miles (2 hrs 15 min). Anticipate significant delays due to Memorial Day weekend traffic, of an hour or more. For those who are carpooling from Newark, DE, you can get to Newark by Amtrak, SEPTA, or Flixbus from major cities along the Northeast Corridor.

Where can I park?
Answer
Parking for the Pre-Wedding Beach Social and for the Ceremony is provided in lots directly adjacent to the pavilion. Parking is included in the park entrance fee, which is $5 for Delaware license plates, and $10 for out-of-state license plates. If you save your entry ticket, you may use it to re-enter the park at no additional charge for the rest of the day. The after-party venue has its own lot, which is free.
