A must-walk in evenings and weekends to enjoy the popular and social local life. You can visit other nearby places such as the Cathedral, fountains, the main square, some theatres, and obviously, taste different snacks and food from local restaurants and bars.
Paseo del Viejo Oeste
Tour the locations where many great western themed movies have been filmed.
Teleferico Durango
The teleferico, takes you on a short ride across the city to enjoy some city views. From here you can get a discount coupon to get into the mining museum.
Museo Túnel de Minería en Durango, Dgo. México.
This is a tunnel mining museum. You get a vest and a hard hat to enter. This is Inexpensive and a very educational tour and a must do while in Durango. Ride the "Teleferico" first they give you a coupon for a discount entrance to Museo Tunel De Mineria. It's very short small tour but well worth the money.
Wallander Independencia
We highly recommend this for breakfast. They have amazing pastries and delicious traditional mexican breakfasts.
Fonda de la Tía Chona
This a traditional Mexican cuisine restaurant. They have really good chile rellenos and traditional mole that is good.
Restaurante Barocco - Durango
Surprisingly this restaurant has really good Italian food and pizzas. It is one of our must go's when we visit.
Hotel Gobernador Restaurant
This one of the hotels we are staying at and they have a really good restaurant. We always go here for breakfast every time we visit.
Casa Marmolejo
This restaurant has views, great cocktails and a good happy hour. Fairly close to the teleferico.
Durango Grill
This a steakhouse. Has a good ambiance.
Lush
Nice views, cute place with good food. Great place to go out for good music and food. The smoked brisket sandwich and pulled pork are good.
Traditional Juan Matador Cantina
This a traditional Mexican cantina, fun places to try good drinks.
XAMICALLI
This a night club that plays electronic music close to downtown.

This a nightclub that is pretty popular.
