What!? You've been to NY before and haven't walked the Brooklyn Bridge?? Well, this is your chance. There is ample subway service to the Manhattan side. Walk across to Brooklyn and enjoy DUMBO, a neighborhood where Scott worked while in NY. You can also take in the amazing views from the Brooklyn side. We recommend One Girl Cookies for coffee and treats, as well as Redbeard Bikes for the dopest biking needs in the City.
Our first climbing date was at an indoor climbing gym, but a subsequent climbing gym was here. After walking the Brooklyn Bridge, do some bouldering with great views of the Manhattan skyline. Day pass + shoes is $9, which is a steal in NY.
Check out world-class contemporary art for free by strolling through the galleries in Chelsea. Janet recommends downloading the See Saw app (iOS) to browse which shows are currently open. A great way to spend an afternoon with a cup of coffee, and right by the High Line.
Only the best place to see comedy. Make reservations at least 2 weeks in advance. Reservations don't cost anything and there is no penalty for not showing up. If you don't make reservations but still show up, be prepared to wait in line and likely not get in. True story: John Mayer was sitting behind Scott in the audience the last time we went.
Janet introduced Scott to Korean BBQ at this spot a couple of months into their relationship. We biked there, but you can either take the 7 to Flushing Main Street and a Lyft or bus the rest of the way, or take the LIRR from Penn Station to the Murray Hill stop
Janet's favorite ice cream place -- lots of great flavors, including some Asian inspired flavors like Black Sesame and Red Bean. Expect a wait at peak times.
