How do I make a room reservation?

Answer

The wedding and reception will be held at the Vila Vita Parc resort in Porches Portugal. We have 20 rooms guaranteed at a discounted rate. To reserve one of these rooms please email the Senior Banquet and Event Manger, Helena Custodio at mhcustodio@vilavitaparc.com and reference the "Loveridge/Heinsohn Wedding" in the subject. Helena will arrange your reservation. Vila Vita Parc is a five-star resort and is ranked among Portugal’s pre-eminent resort properties. Overlooking the ocean, it spreads over 54 spectacular acres of gardens, which provide a lush sub-tropical setting for its distinctive Algarvian architecture of Moorish design.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Honestly the simple answer is the sooner the better. We completely understand that committing to a destination wedding can represent a big investment of time and money and that no one can control the future but the logistics behind one are complicated by time and distance so the sooner we can get a count of who is coming the easier it will be to plan the finer details of the wedding

Is there a dress code?

We ask that our guests dress resort attire for the actual wedding. Please no bathing suits.

What is the Algarve?

The Algarve region, at the southern end of Portugal, is famous for its picturesque coastline, beautiful beaches, quaint villages, and amazing food. Spanning roughly 96 miles between the south-western tip at the tiny town of Sagres and the Spanish border beside the village of Vila Real de Santo António, the Algarve is well known European tourism destination.

What is the weather like in June in Porches?

Answer

June is a great time to visit Porches, as the weather is warm and sunny. The days are long, allowing plenty of time to enjoy outdoor activities and explore the beautiful surroundings. It’s an ideal month to visit if you’re looking for a relaxing beach holiday. The average temperature in June during the day 77°F with a low of 63°F during the night. It’s generally comfortable throughout the day, with a gentle breeze coming from the nearby Atlantic Ocean. Porches boasts an impressive amount of sunshine in June, with an average of 11 hours of sunshine per day. This allows for plenty of time to soak up the rays on the beach or enjoy outdoor activities. However, it’s still advisable to wear sunscreen and stay hydrated to protect yourself from the strong sun. Rainfall is minimal during this month, with an average of only roughly 4 inches spread over 2-3 days. The chances of rain disrupting your plans are low, but it’s always a good idea to pack a light rain jacket just in case.

What are the beaches like in the area?

The Algarve boasts some of the most stunning beaches in Europe. From hidden coves and grottoes to long stretches of shoreline, each of these gems offers a unique experience that will leave you in awe of the natural beauty of this part of Portugal. Trip Advisor lists the nearby Praia da Falésia beach as the #1 beach in the world. It's roughly a 40 minute ride away. In addition, the Albandeira Beach, Praia da Senhora da Rocha beach, and Praia do Vale do Olival beach are all located in Porches and within 5 to 15 minutes away

Are there golf courses in the Algarve?

Answer

There are several golf courses to choose from in the Algarve region. Some of the well-known Algarve golf clubs include: Alto Golf Course near Lagos, which has Roman ruins. Vale da Pinta near Carvoeiro. Monte Rei Golf & Country Club near Tavira, which offers stunning views that span across the sparkling Atlantic Ocean nearby. In the west, new courses such as Boavista and Morgado have complimented the more traditional layouts of Penina and Palmares. In the east, near Tavira, there are now six excellent courses with the addition of the spectacular Monte Rei
