Matron of Honor
Janese and I met freshman year of high school. With over 2 decades of friendship in the books, it’s safe to say I can never get rid of her. We’ve shared countless memories together and now I get to stand beside her witnessing the best memory to come - saying ‘I do’ to the love of her life.
Matron of Honor
Matron of Honor: Keyanna I met Janese in high school and I haven’t been able to shake her since. We conquered college together, pledged Delta Sigma Theta together as line sisters, collecting tons of memories and laughs along the way. Now I get a front-row seat to the best chapter yet: Janese marrying the love of her life.
Maid of Honor
Janese and I are cousins and have been close since we were kids. We used to dress a like and be twins, and have been thick as thieves ever since. She was my first bestie in life, my built in bestie if you will.
Bridesmaid
Janese and I met four years ago while working at the same private practice, and what started as being accidental “opps” quickly blossomed into one of my most cherished friendships. Janese has since become a confidant and genuine source of support. We’ve been inseparable ever since, always laughing together, and always down for a good yap session
Bridesmaid
Janese and I met while working together as therapists, but it didn’t take long for our shared laughter and long yap sessions at “the spot” to turn into a real friendship. Over time it became a sisterhood I deeply treasure. I’m so grateful to stand by her side on her big day.
Bridesmaid
Janese and I met over seven years ago through our church community, and from day one our friendship has been natural, easy, and incredibly meaningful. With MJ being my first cousin, watching their love story unfold has been so special. It’s truly an honor to stand with them as they say ‘I do.’
Bridesmaid
Janese and I were one of the few therapist working on Saturdays in our office. On Weekends I would look forward to seeing her face! Janese decided to move on from the practice however we remained close. We went from work friends, to gym besties, to actual friends very quickly! Janese is a reminder that love and friendship can truly be found anywhere and I’m happy to have met her when I did. I never imagined I’d know so many black therapists let alone have one as a bestie.
Bridesmaid
Janese and I met while working together as therapists at a group practice, but it didn’t take long to realize our true bond was fashion and a good cackle. From day one, Janese would shout “OOTD!” the moment she saw me and gassing each other up became love language. What started as coworkers turned into a friendship built on style, laughs, and mutual hype!
Groomsman
Alex and Maurice have been friends for over a decade. Originally meeting as freshmen at Jackson State, but became really close as juniors while staying across the hall from one another. Cheers to a long and sustaining union!

I’ve known Mj all my life with him being my oldest brother. He has always been a role model for me.Growing up he lead the way so we could follow in his footsteps. He has taught me so much about confidence and dedication. Throughout our shared bond of sports and the countless arguments about who is better, Mj has always been the biggest influence/inspiration in my life. I’m very glad to see he has found the love of his life in Janese and I can’t wait to welcome in a sister to the family.

I’ve known MJ literally my entire life. As his first younger brother, I always had someone to look up to (and someone to blame things on); he was my first friend and my first role model. Growing up, we shared everything from clothes to inside jokes, but our shared love for music kept us close — I already know the wedding playlist is going to hit! Watching him find his soulmate in Janese has been a pleasure to experience, and I’m happy to officially welcome another sibling to the family!

Lionel is a cousin and lifelong friend. We attended elementary school and high school together. Our brotherhood has continued into our adult life.
Groomsman
Our brotherhood began in 2012 at Jackson State University, where we first connected through our shared dedication to the Student Government Association (SGA). What started as a collegiate partnership quickly evolved into a lifelong bond rooted in mutual respect and shared ambition. While our roots are different—with Reece representing Chicago and myself representing Memphis—those differences have only strengthened our connection. The rivalry is real when it comes to the hardwood, pitting his Chicago Bulls against my Memphis Grizzlies, and I’ve famously dubbed him "300" as a nod to Chicago rapper, Reece 300. Today, we remain core members of our tight-knit circle, "The League." Over a decade since meeting at JSU, Reece is more than just a friend; he is a brother, a teammate, and a vital part of a solid relationship that has stood the test of time.

Reece and I met in 2010 at Jackson State University. I use to give him 40 at the Walter Payton Center on a regular basis. We also use to be involved with organizations on campus which strengthened our Brotherhood.
