Maid of Honor
As one of Janelle's longest-standing Charlotte friends, Elizabeth is known for providing an expert braid and a listening ear. Janelle isn't sure if she should be excited or nervous for her Maid of Honor speech, because Elizabeth has a lot of history (read: material) to pull from! You may hear Elizabeth refer to Janelle as "Child", often within the phrase "Child, please", although she and Janelle are the same age.
Nick Zefeldt
Best Man
Nick started his relationship with Conor on a white lie… “I talked to the First Sergeant and he said no room swaps so I already moved in.” But as it turned out they were ideal roommates and lived together for the final three years of their West Point Lives. They still regularly discuss politics, money and religion to test the strength of their friendship. Conor provides the spiritual guidance for his only daughter, Savannah, but not to his wife, Marissa, who wouldn’t listen.
Megan Bentley

As the keeper of the best surveillance file ever, Megan is responsible for putting her private investigator skills to work by capturing photos of our proposal. She is also one of Janelle's dearest Charlotte friends. Since she happens to live in Conor and Janelle's neighborhood, Megan is a constant neighborhood walk companion and even leads us in our garage "prison" gym workouts from time to time.
Anna Crew

Janelle and Anna met freshman year at Elon University in Spanish class. After being partnered up for a project, Anna completed her portion of the work within about 48 hours. Janelle had barely started but came through with a strong presentation in the end, to save the grade, and the friendship! Anna and Janelle have traveled all over Europe together, collecting rap lyrics and stories along the way. Anna now lives in NYC with her two precious girls and husband Adom.
Stephanie DeYoung

Stephanie is part of the reason Janelle is known for sending you color-coded calendar invites and asking about your to-do list. With her unmatched entrepreneurial spirit, Stephanie helped Janelle turn her vision for Find More Time Coaching into a reality, and Janelle is eternally grateful. Janelle met Steph during a semester abroad in England, where they became fast friends! Plenty of Florida sunsets and NYC rooftop chats later, here we are! Stephanie enjoys the benefits of a daily cold plunge, and Janelle sure is lucky to have Steph by her side as she takes the "plunge" into marriage.
Dillon Freer

Conor is Dillon’s favorite cousin. They lived together in Charlotte for years until they both upgraded roommates. They both prefer having their own bathroom, Tom Brady playing for the Patriots, and seeing Charlotte FC win. They will remain close as long as Dillon pays his rent on time.
Ryan Joyce
Groomsman
Ryan is one of the three West Pointers standing up for Conor. He’s a proud husband to Kim, and father of three boys. He has many things to be proud of … but has also woken up to a pizza sleeping next to him on a hotel room bed. It was untouched. He maintains his relations with the group with his ability to start an evening as the life of the party, followed by waking everyone up by taking a work call and making a breakfast casserole, way too early the next morning.
Katelyn Karahan

Katelyn and Janelle met freshman year of high school. Janelle vividly remembers Katelyn sharing every detail of her nightly dreams on the long bus rides to school. They later shared a first job at Bagelmania, where there was no shortage of drama, take-home bagels, or teenage antics. Recently, Katelyn invited Janelle to share in her wedding day as the officiant (a life-long dream for Janelle!) as she married her husband Yüksel.
Kelan McElduff

Kelan has the most stories about Conor’s misspent youth. As cousins from neighboring towns, summers at the beach club were where they got into most of their early trouble. They continued to make trouble into adulthood in such luminous locations as New Orleans, Houston, and back home in NJ every Christmas. Kelan and his family are likely responsible for Conor's ability to feed himself with things that actually taste good. His wife, Allie, tried to visit Conor four times in St Louis… succeeding zero times.
Joe McGovern

If you ever ask Joe how he is doing, he will tell you “I’m Fine.” Even if he is not. Even if Caitlin is angry at him or Michael is ignoring him. Joe was a top student and Conor was proudly, “the very top of the bottom third,” but they both had a knack for connecting the big brains of their group to those that were struggling to achieve that all important 2.0. This knack led them both towards post-military careers with stops in MBA programs, consulting jobs, and the continued tradition of knowing exactly one more thing than the person they are working with.
Kyle Steiner

Kyle once told a group of people, “the thing that annoys me most about living with Conor is that he doesn’t screw the top back on the 2L bottle enough.” They met during the accepted student weekend for their MBA program at Wash U. Before long they were roommates, running the Veteran Club, and regularly attending Cardinals games. Conor paved the way for Kyle to make the move with his wife, Anna, and daughter, Kristen to Charlotte, NC.

Janelle didn't grow up with a sister, so she is thrilled to have such a great relationship with her sister-in-law Casey. In addition to putting up with Janelle's brother Jason, Casey is a busy mom of two and fellow educator. You'll spot Janelle's nephew Wesley (4) and niece Zayley (1), during the wedding ceremony.
