What should I wear?

Answer

Semi-formal / Cocktail attire. Some may prefer not to blend in with the wedding party; they will be wearing navy blue suits and blush pink dresses.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Though the ceremony begins at 6pm, we ask that you arrive at 5:30 to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Where should I park? Will transportation be provided?

Answer

There is parking on-site at the venue. If you have overnight accommodations with us, complimentary parking is validated in the parking garage. There will be a shuttle transporting guests to and from the venue starting a half hour before the ceremony.

Are the ceremony and reception taking place at the same location? Is it indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both will be held at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie. The ceremony will take place outside on the patio followed by an indoor reception.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

The wedding party will be with the photographers nearby for about an hour. Guests may head to the cocktail room where we will be serving passed appetizers, appetizer stations and a full open bar.

What's the best way to RSVP? When is the deadline?

You can RSVP here on our website by clicking on the RSVP tab above. We kindly ask that all RSVP's be submitted no later than April 6th!

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Rooms have been reserved at The Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel 5 minutes from the venue. Please book your room with our discount code CAEI - no later than April 6th. Rooms booked after that will be based on the hotel's availablility and at their normal rate. How to book: www.pokgrand.com, select BOOK ROOM in the top right corner, click on rate options and type in CAEI in the promo code box.

Can I bring a date?

If your invitation says "and guest" then yes. We are only able to accommodate those listed on the invite. If you have any questions, please reach out.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, we want our wedding to be your night off! It will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kiddos at home so you can celebrate with us!

Can I take/post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes! We just ask that once the ceremony begins, no cellphones are out and visible to prevent any interference with the photographer and videographer. Please tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #HappilyEverEisner, so we can see what you've captured from our day!
