Whatever makes you feel good! Cocktail attire if you're looking for more specific guidance, but as long as you can dance and feel pretty doing it, that works for us. Dressy casual is fine, semi-formal is fine too! Just show up feeling cute. Most of the day will be inside a covered greenhouse, but the ceremony will be outside and you will be welcome to roam during cocktail hour so keep that in mind when choosing footwear. We're channeling fall vibes, but know that it may very well be 85 degrees so be comfortable!
We are both changing our names! We will be Ashton and Janeen Scott-Young.
Unfortunately, the closest airport to us, GSP, will be closed 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, through 8:00 a.m. on Monday, September 21. If you're ok with flying in Friday and out Monday you should be fine! If you'd like to fly out on Sunday and don't want to juggle multiple airports, Charlotte (CLT) and Asheville (AVL) are good options. Both are just over an hour away from Spartanburg and are sometimes more affordable than GSP.
There are several hotels within walking distance of downtown Spartanburg: The AC Hotel, Spartanburg Marriott, and Fairfield Inn and Suites Spartanburg. There are also lots of options in the Westgate area of town which is closer to the venue, such as Holiday Inn Express and the Hilton Garden Inn. Spartanburg also has of Airbnb options for a variety of group sizes.
Heck yeah
Yep! We'll have a buffet-style dinner and an open bar with beer and wine.
Our wedding will be adults only (except for infants under 6 months). If you are traveling with children and would like help arranging a trusted local sitter, please reach out and we can help get you connected with one!
There is a lot at the venue and parking attendants will be on site.
Check out our "Things To Do" page for some of our favorite spots! We love Little River coffee and there are tons of great restaurants and bars around to hang at. For the outdoorsy folks, we love renting kayaks and paddleboards at Lake Cooley, hiking at Camp Croft, or strolling through Hatcher Gardens or Glendale Shoals Preserve. We also highly recommend bopping up to Asheville if you've got a day to kill. If you need specific recommendations for anything just ask us!
Technically yes, but it is far from robust. If you're coming in from out of town, we suggest renting a car or using Uber/Lyft which are both fairly reliable, especially on the weekends.
