The normal tour carriages are red and yellow. The private carriage tours takes a different route, is interactive and can have up to 10 people. These carriages are black and parked by Marquette park.

The Grand Hotel

Even if you don't stay at the grand hotel- its a must visit! The Grand Hotel is the world’s largest front porch in the world at 660 ft. It is a must see, you can have a cocktail on the porch, enjoy tea in the lobby or head to the Cupelo bar for an amazing view of the lake. The hotel looks the same as it did 100 years ago.

Kayak Tours

Kayak Tours is a fun thing to do to check out the island by water. There are sunrise, midday, and sunset tours.

Golf and Putt Putt

Golf is another great thing to do on the island. There are two golf courses: Wawashkamo and Jewel (Grand Hotel Course). You will have to take carriages to these courses. There is a Putt Putt course at Mission Point Resort, just a 15 minute walk from the main street. Play day or night with glow golf. Mission Point is also a great place to escape from the main street and sit on lawn chairs and enjoy the view.

Horseback Riding

Horseback Riding is another to do, you can ride horses through the Island, or even captain your own horse and carriage around the Island.
