Northport Point is a remote area, so we don't recommend relying on Uber as your mode of transportation as there are not many drivers on the apps in these areas. We strongly recommend renting a car. In terms of wedding events, we will be providing golf carts for guests who choose to stay in the available accommodations on the Point. All wedding events will be hosted on-site. Any guests who do not plan to stay on the Point will need to coordinate transportation separately.
The closest airport to Northport is Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City, a 45 minute drive from the Point. Grand Rapids is the second closest airport, about 2 hours and 45 minutes from the Point.
Because there are few hotels / inns in the area, our friends have generously offered to either host or house guests in their cottages for the wedding weekend. Please keep an eye out for additional housing information.
As much as we love your kids, only kids 10 and older are invited. Thank you for understanding!

Weather permitting, our ceremony will be held outdoors on grass/sand and the reception will be hosted in a tent nearby.
Our guests will have access to facilities throughout the weekend, so be sure to bring clothes for any activities you may want to partake in (think: golf, tennis, pickleball, walking, taking a dip in the lake, etc.) Feel free to bring any rackets / clubs that you would like to use throughout the weekend. The wedding is cocktail attire, and the welcome party is dressy casual. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes as most events will take place outside. Please remember that Northern Michigan gets cold at night! Be sure to pack accordingly for both more formal and casual events.
