FAQs

The Wedding Website of Jane Wilson and Cam Baker
Question

Are kids invited to the wedding?

Answer

While we adore the children in our lives, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. If you're traveling to Montana with your family for the weekend, we warmly invite the kids to join our welcome drinks event on Friday night. Should you need babysitting recommendations in Bozeman, please don't hesitate to contact the bride or groom directly.

Question

Did you mention shuttle services?

Answer

We've arranged convenient shuttle services to transport guests to and from our wedding venue. Shuttles will depart from the AC Hotel on Main Street between 3:00 and 3:15 PM. Return trips are scheduled for 9:00 PM, 10:00 PM, and 11:30 PM. Additionally, shuttle services will be stationed at the venue to accommodate any earlier return needs.

Question

Can I drive myself to the venue?

Answer

Yes, you can drive yourself to the venue, but please keep a few important details in mind. The final stretch of road leading to the venue is a gravel/dirt surface that may be challenging for smaller sedans. Additionally, overnight parking is not permitted, so you'll need to ensure you can drive your vehicle back after the event. The venue is located approximately 35 minutes from downtown Bozeman.

Question

A note about Ubers/Lyfts

Answer

Bozeman is a small town and rideshare apps are not as abundant as other cities. If you plan to use them during your stay, be prepared for longer wait times or plan ahead and schedule your rides!

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Summer in Montana is peak rental car season so your options will be pricey. Book far in advance if you choose to go this route. For the wedding weekend, if you stay at the hotels on Main Street or at an Airbnb close to them, you should not have any need for a rental car.

Question

Can I get a plus one?

Answer

Your formal invite and rsvp link will list your guest, if given.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The official dress code is cocktail attire, but we are not the type of people to have strong opinions on what you wear! Just please no jeans or bolo ties (Cam hates them). Cowboy boots are allowed, but let’s keep the cowboy hats to a minimum so we don’t block anyone’s view! The back deck of the venue has a grated surface and any stiletto type heels will fall right through it. Wide heeled shoes are a must!

Question

What’s the weather like?

Answer

The weather will be very warm during the day (70s-80s) and be slightly cooler after sunset, so you may want a light sweater if you are the type that gets cold easily, but I wouldn’t say it’s required. Ceremony and cocktails are outside while reception and dancing are inside the lodge. The sun doesn’t set until 9pm, so it will stay warm for most of the evening.

Question

How should I prepare for the altitude?

Answer

Our venue sits mid-mountain on a ski resort at 6500 feet! If you are coming from sea level (looking at you Jane’s family), we highly suggest you drink TONS of water and electrolytes throughout the weekend to avoid any altitude sickness. If you have time to fly in a few days early to acclimate, that’s even better! And remember, one drink in the mountains equals two at sea level.
