Travis and I met one night at Timeout when he was done with work. He bought one of my friends a shot and they talked for awhile. Travis then disappeared for a week (to go back home but I did not know he traveled for work at the time). When he came back I gave him a hard time about disappearing and not remembering who I was. To my surprise, he remembered my name and that I go by J, not Jordan (heart stop). As I working the host stand and Travis was playing pool with Keaton, being loud and obnoxious as usual, he came up to me and asked if I had a pencil. I told him no we only write with pens. He continued to ask again and finally after about the third time of me saying no and asking why he needed a pencil so bad, he replied, "I need a pencil so we can erase our past and write our future (again, heart stop and melt; fell in love with first of many dad jokes). Travis spent one year in Manitowoc with me and he told me that was long enough. Four months later, I packed up and moved to beautiful Knoxville, Tennessee! We have lived here together since June of 2020. In November of 2022, Travis threw me for a loop and surprised me with asking me to be with him forever and share his last name. We went hiking for a "friends birthday" to Rainbow Falls and once we got to the top, we all stopped and had a picnic together. Before we got ready to go, Travis asked if we could take one more picture together. Umm, YES! So we walked out onto a rock and I was looking at the water and looking around, obviously not paying attention to anything going on around me. Once I turned around after hearing him say, "What's this?" I saw him down on one knee with my ring in his hand. I asked him a couple times if he was, "For real?" and, "Are you really sure?" He did not say no! So here we are planning out the rest of our lives together and can't wait to share it with all of you!
