What was meant to be a week long friends’ trip and a birthday celebration in Panama City, Florida, turned into the start of their love story—yes, all thanks to a game of rock-paper-scissors and a scheme from their friend Abigail. There’s a first for everything! The rules were simple: if Abigail beat Jordan, she got to choose how the night went. She won—and orchestrated a kiss between Jordan and Joanna! Though Joanna’s curiosity almost spoiled the surprise (she was then told it was a game about taking out the trash to hide the true terms and conditions of the game), it ended with a sweet kiss on the cheek. On June 26th, 2022, Joanna said yes to Jordan after her flight back to Michigan and his flight back to Texas. They navigated nearly two years of long-distance from Michigan and Texas and even Pennsylvania when Joanna had her internship for 7 months in 2023 before Jordan moved to Ohio in March 2024 after Joanna secured a full-time job there! Jordan proposed on June 21st, 2025, in front of Brandywine Falls at Cuyahoga National Park, with Joanna’s sister Jessica and brother-in-law Sisto helping to throw her off the trail. Joanna said yes again! Now, Jordan and Joanna are excited to celebrate their wedding on October 23rd, 2026, surrounded by their closest friends and family.
