Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Smart casuals - anything nature inspired! There will be some walking involved and you will be outside for part of the celebrations. A change of footwear might be an idea, as well as something to keep you warm. As I write this, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that wellies and waterproofs won't be necessary!

Question

What time should I arrive for the Handfasting?

Answer

Allow yourself a good 15 minutes to park and walk to our meeting point prior to the scheduled start.

Question

Do I have to use Mousehole AFC car park?

Answer

No. You can park on the side of the road leading up to the football club if there is room. It is not normally busy. This would also mean you are closer to the start point and save some leg work! We have recommended the football car park simply because we know there will be available spaces!

Question

If we don't see any signage to the Handfasting field, how will we know where to go?

Answer

In true 'dib dib dib, dob dob dob' mode - you can 'always be prepared' by searching for 'Cornish Pixels Stock Photo Library' on Google maps! This is the closest place marked on the map to indicate where the path to the field starts.

Question

Where should we park for the Reception?

Answer

Newlyn is a pickle for parking! However, there are 2 car parks nearby. The first is St Peter's Hill Long Stay car park, TR18 5ET. It is FREE to park here from 6pm and a short walk along the harbour front to The Fisherman's Arms. (Only a small car park for 25 vehicles, so spaces not assured!) The second is Sandy Cove, TR18 5LQ This is just down the slip from The Fisherman's Arms. It costs 2-4 hours – £3 12 hours – £5 and uses a phone App to pay.

Question

Have you got a gift list?

Answer

As we've recently amalgamated the contents of our homes, we've pretty much doubled up on many household items! The greatest gift is your 'presence' and not 'presents'!!! If you feel you would still like to contribute something, we would very much appreciate help towards funding various treats. These include National Trust membership, a day out to the Scillies, a couple of favourite 'honking' duck toys for the dogs and the odd bottle of red wine for the two legged's! Should you wish to contribute, here are the relevant details: PC Trevail, Santander, Acc No: 43696385 Sort Code: 09 01 36
