Where to Stay

We have reserved a limited number of rooms for our guests at 2 wedding hotels. 🏨 Staying at one of our wedding hotels is a core part of the experience we’re creating for everyone. It allows us to spend more meaningful time together across the days, and is what will makes this multi-day celebration feel truly shared. The room rates below are discounted wedding rates (10% off the regular price) and include breakfast for two people. Rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis through the RSVP form. We would love for as many guests as possible to stay here, as it will be the main gathering place throughout the wedding celebrations.

Hotel

Casa Antonieta

911 Miguel Hidalgo, Oaxaca de Juárez, Oax. 68000, Mexico

This hotel is blocked for our wedding from October 7th - 9th (2 nights). Casa Antonieta is where the ceremony and main celebration will take place. Most wedding events will start and end here, so we recommend guests stay here if possible. The hotel is located in the heart of Oaxaca City, next to the Museo Textil and the Centro Cultural, and within walking distance of many of the main sights, restaurants, and markets. 9 different rooms are available, and includes breakfast. The hotel offers a variety of room types: king suites, queen suites & double rooms – some with private balconies.

Casa Arrona

121 Callejón Boca del Monte, Oaxaca de Juárez, Oax. 68070, Mexico
 +52(951)5046984

Small hotel reserved for our wedding party and close friends. This is where Jan & Lea will be staying. This hotel is blocked for our wedding from October 6th - 9th (3 nights), 7 rooms.

Flight

Getting there

Oaxaca is a bit more remote, which makes it special—but it also means most routes include a short connection. We recommend choosing your route based on budget and how much time you have, and whether you’d like to turn this into a longer trip. – – – 🇪🇺 From Europe (Germany, France) Best route → via US layover or Mexico City ($) Direct flight to Mexico City + 1h flight connection to Oaxaca, or 6-7h via comfortable long distance bus Alternative → via Puerto Escondido ($) Great if you want to start with a few beach days. 💡 Good to know: Direct flights to Oaxaca are limited and usually more expensive ($$$) – – – 🇨🇦 🇺🇸 From North America (Canada + USA) Best route → direct or 1-stop to Oaxaca ($$) From major hubs, this is often the easiest option Alternative → via Mexico City ($) More frequent flights + easy 1h flight connection, or 6-7h via comfortable long distance bus Optional → via Puerto Escondido ($) Perfect if you want to turn this into a beach trip – – – 🇨🇱 From South America (Chile) Best route → via Mexico City ($$) Direct flight from Santiago (8–9h) + short 1h connection to Oaxaca, or or 6-7h via comfortable long distance bus Optional → via Puerto Escondido ($$) Nice if you want to add a few relaxing days by the ocean

Getting around in Mexico

For travel within Mexico, we highly recommend the long-distance bus system. It’s safe, well organized, and comfortable (air-conditioned + spacious reclining seats). Buses are reliable, accommodate large luggage, and are often easier than flying. Bus lines such as ADO and AU run between all major cities. Tickets can easily booked through the BusBud app. 🚌 Popular routes: Mexico City ↔ Oaxaca (~6–7h) Oaxaca ↔ Puerto Escondido (~3h) If you prefer to travel by private driver instead, please let us know — we are happy to share trusted contacts.
