The wedding will be in beautiful, Downtown Savannah, Georgia. Our ceremony will take place outdoors in Forsyth Park. The reception will be at a separate indoor venue, with transportation from the park provided.
Everyone staying in one of our preferred hotels will be picked up by their hotels outside of The Clyde Venue and Kelly Tours/Gray Line Savannah. If you are not staying at one of our hotels, you have two options: 1. Make your way directly to Forsyth Park either on foot or by Uber/Lyft. Plan to arrive by 4:30 PM. 2. Drive to the Liberty Street Garage and walk to The Clyde Venue (about 10 minutes) where the trolley will pick up guests at 4:00 PM. The address for the trolley stop is: 223 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd Savannah, GA 31401 The address for the parking garage is: 301 W Liberty St Savannah, GA 31401 We recommend that only people staying near Forsyth walk over to the park.
For those taking the trolley, the driver will drop you off at the correct location. If you are walking, head towards the Fountain at Forsyth Park. Once you are at the fountain, you will see our ceremony set up.
If you are staying in the Historic District, transportation to the ceremony and reception venues will be provided. Transportation from the reception venue will NOT be provided. However, the hotels we have chosen are within walking distance of the reception venue. Neither venue will have available parking for guests with their own cars.
Our event dress code is Creative Black Tie. We invite you to wear fun colors, textures, patterns, and pieces that express your personality. It's more relaxed than traditional Black Tie; think beyond standard wedding guest attire. Please refrain from wearing fully white, off-white, or cream attire. We have created a Pinterest board to help you better understand our vision. https://www.pinterest.com/kristajarrell18/happily-ever-after/creative-black-tie/ We have also uploaded some images and descriptions to our website under the "Dress Code" tab for those who don't have Pinterest.
The ceremony will be held outdoors, however the reception will be held indoors. The weather in mid-April is generally mid 70s to low 80s F (about 24C to 28C). While rain is not typical at this time of year, we will have a backup plan in case of unexpected weather.
We have chosen to make our wedding 21+ only. We understand if this affects your decision to attend. Decisions for exceptions to this rule have already been determined and notified.
Guests with plus ones will be notified of this in their invitation. Given our already large guest list, the venue will be unable to accept additional guests.
When you RSVP, there will be a section to include any dietary restrictions, preferences, or allergies in order for us to better accommodate you. If you still have any concerns you would like to discuss, please reach out to us directly!
We have secured room blocks at three different hotels, allowing you to choose what best fits your budget. If you'd like to rent a home, we also have a discount code through our preferred service. If you choose to stay elsewhere, or if you are outside of the historic district, please note we may not be able to accommodate you for our shuttle transport to the ceremony.
The wedding ceremony and reception takes place on Friday, April 17th with Trolley pick-up at 4 PM. As the actual wedding day tends to be a whirlwind for the bride and groom, we’ve set aside additional time for guests to see us during the weekend. Let’s hang out! On Thursday April 16th, we will be at Top Deck, a rooftop bar on River street from 7 PM to 10 PM. We welcome you to stop by, get a drink, and spend time with us. This will NOT be a private event. You are welcome to purchase drinks and food at your leisure. On Saturday April 18th from 10 AM to 12 noon, we will have a farewell brunch to cap off our weekend with you. We will be providing small bites and food will be first come, first serve. For this reason, please RSVP so we can get enough food for everyone. The address to meet at is 311 W York St. There is no parking on site, but there is a paid garage nearby. We recommend walking if possible. The Thursday and Saturday events are by no means requirements, we would just like to spend extra time with you all. Yes, even you, dear reader. These extra events are also open for you to come and go as you'd like.
