Wedding Party

Fran Petouvis

Matron of Honor

My sister, Frani, is my Matron of Honor or, more aptly, my "Matron of Humor." She has been much more than a sister to me all my life. She has been my biggest cheerleader, my fiercest protector, my partner-in-crime, and my closest friend. I can count on her to be there for me no matter what life brings my way. She is always ready with words of encouragement and support, and I am grateful to have her by my side on this special day!

Mike Maraventano

Best Man

Mike has been a great friend for 25 years. His friendship, guidance and great sense of humor have been a huge influence in my life over the years. Through good times and bad, Mike has been there for me. Mike and I have shared great times on the golf course, even on days when we were not hitting the ball too well. He and his wonderful wife, Judy, are a wonderful couple, great parents and devoted grandparents. I am honored that he has agreed to be my best man on this happy occasion in my life. We are counting on Mike and Judy to get the party started on the dance floor!

Rick Silverman

Brother of the Bride

Although my father is no longer with us, I am honored to have my brother stand in his shoes for the day. Rick is an amazing person who exemplifies all of the qualities my father taught our family about how to be a wonderful husband, father and brother. I will be proud to have him walk me down the aisle.

Anna Delia

Reader

What can I say about my incredible daughter Anna? She is so special. Anna will often say that I am her “rock” but, the truth is, she is mine. This precious girl, who I watched in numerous dance classes and recitals, grew into such an amazing woman. Anna is sweet and giving and loves to be surrounded by family, friends and her two Golden Doodles. She has an open heart and the gift of being a great listener. Both of these qualities have been put to great use as she has recently become a Guidance Counselor at Dumont High School. You may want to ask her about a special harmonica she has! It is quite a story! Jan and I are both so grateful that she has agreed to do a reading at our wedding.

Laurie Silverman Flynn

Flower Girl

On our wedding day, I will fulfill a 46 year old promise to my sweet niece, Laurie, that she would one day be my flower girl. Flower woman is more like it! Along the way, her outfit for the wedding has transitioned from white anklets and mary janes to stockings and high heels. She has grown from being my little niece to an amazing woman and my dear friend.

William and Wesley Collard

Page Boys

George's grandsons William and Wesley are bridal party veterans. Still basking from the glory of being ring bearers in their Aunt Anna's wedding, they are very excited to repeat their performance on our special day. No telling what tricks these two cuties will be up to during the ceremony, but no doubt laughter will ensue.

Ben Petouvis

Page Boy

My grandnephew, Ben, is making his bridal party debut as one of our page boys. At 5 years old, he brings great joy and laughter to our family. When we asked him what his job will be at the wedding, he said, "to tell us to kiss at the end." No worries there Ben, we won't forget!

Dan Petouvis

Reader

Dan is so much more than a nephew to me - he is the son I never had. I admire him for his integrity and commitment to whatever he sets his mind to do. For example, he is a dedicated athlete, and I wouldn't be surprised if he managed to squeeze in a 6 mile run sometime between the wedding ceremony and reception. His true talent came to the forefront when he took on the role of husband to Abbey and father to Ben and little Miss Lucy. It is an honor that he will be doing a reading on our wedding day.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Collard

Parents of the Groom

My parents have been married for 66 years. They have set an amazing example of marriage, loyalty, faith and giving back through service to the community. My Dad was the head of the Math Department at Hackensack High School, and my Mom was a dental hygienist. She still asks if I am flossing regularly! Their loving marriage produced my brother Art, my sister Kathy, me (of course), 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Family gatherings are always filled with laughter and a ton of food. Many of the recipes come from a cookbook my Mom and my sister wrote! My Dad is still my hero and my role model. I count on his wisdom and guidance to this day. I asked my Mom to dance with me at the wedding and she has agreed to share this special Mother/Son moment with me. Love you both so much!

Mr. and Mrs. Martin Silverman

Parents of the Bride

Despite losing my parents way too early in my life, they remain with me with every breath that I take to this very day. Their loving marriage set the bar high for me in choosing a life partner in George. They met life's challenges as a military family with love, kindness, mutual respect and very healthy doses of laughter. George possesses all of these qualities. I look forward to following the example they set - holding hands and sitting next to each other on the couch until their last day together. I was blessed to have parents who set such a wonderful example of love and a happy marriage.

For all the days along the way
