I've always said I would never download a dating app, until one Sunday morning I thought I'd try one out 'just for fun.' Jamison & I matched within minutes. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. After an unlikely series of "Wait, me too's!", we scheduled our first date. I couldn't wait to meet him! He was thoughtful, goofy (a must), and maybe a little too good to be true. We met for the first time in the parking lot of a restaurant we'd live walking distance from just a year and half later. We talked until the restaurant closed and laughed in the parking lot like teenagers who didn’t want curfew to come. He told me he deleted the app before we even met in person because he 'just knew' & I thought to myself, "Did I just accidentally meet my future husband?" I called my best friend a few days later & told her I thought I had. Thankfully it wasn't too good to be true, even though he forgets to turn the stove off half the time. He's still always my first pick. And now, we get to make it official on September 20th, surrounded by all our best buds. We absolutely can't wait to celebrate with all of you!
I actually knew that Brianna had "wife potential" before our first date. The attraction, common ground found in our conversations, and her willingness to break things off with the other guy that she was about to go on a date with (HA!) were all great signs. I deleted the app before even meeting her. There were several normal day-to-day moments where it started developing in my mind that she was the one. The biggest moment that stands out to me though, is my 32nd birthday. She put together a surprise party for me and invited all of my closest friends. The effort and thought she put into that day, just for me, stood out as a pretty defining moment. & P.S. to my future wife: I may leave the stove on, but you leave your towels on the floor. xo
