Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Jamie McNamara and Chris Quiñones
While you're visiting Puerto Rico, we highly suggest taking advantage of everything the island has to offer - whether it's exploring the vibrant streets of Old San Juan, visiting the lush rainforest in El Yunque, or taking a day trip out to some of the top beaches in the world! See some first-hand recommendations below from our trips with Chris's family over the years.
Viejo San Juan

Viejo San Juan

San Juan, San Juan 00901, Puerto Rico

Old San Juan is the historical district of the city (and where we'll be getting married!). Spend some time walking the colorful streets of the old town and you'll come across national landmarks/forts, great cafes/bars, and busy plazas. Check out the link for a popular walking tour option.

El Yunque National Forest

El Yunque National Forest

Puerto Rico

About a 30 minute drive from San Juan, El Yunque is the only tropical rainforest in the U.S.! We've loved jumping on the guided tours that let you hike and swim in the waterfalls - they can pick you up right in San Juan.

Culebra

Culebra

Culebra 00775, Puerto Rico

If you have an extra day, we highly recommend driving about an hour east for a snorkeling/boat adventure to the island of Culebra. There you can visit Flamenco Beach, which is consistently rated one of the top 20 beaches in the world. We personally prefer the snorkeling guides that provide bottomless sangria and sandwiches...

Ron del Barrilito (Rum Distillery)

Ron del Barrilito (Rum Distillery)

490 PR-5, Bayamón, 00961, Puerto Rico

If you're into rum, consider a visit to Ron del Barrilito for history, tastings, and mixology classes in a beautiful old hacienda — it’s the oldest Puerto Rican rum brand still in production. Casa Bacardí (nearby) is another fun option.
