FAQs

The Wedding Website of Jamie McNamara and Chris Quiñones
Question

What's the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding attire is formal. We encourage light fabrics and bright colors (and 50+ SPF if you're on the McNamara side!!). Please note there will be a short walk on cobblestone streets between the ceremony and reception, so we'd recommend comfortable/block heels.

Question

What weather should I prepare for?

Answer

February in Puerto Rico is typically very warm and sunny (80's during the day, 70's at night). The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside, followed by dinner and dancing indoors (in the A/C)!

Question

What's the best way to get around San Juan?

Answer

Ubers/taxis are inexpensive and plentiful. Typical Uber rides from the Condado Beach area into Old San Juan take under 15 minutes and cost ~$10 or less. No need to rent a car unless you plan on sticking around and exploring the island further.

Question

What should I do while visiting Puerto Rico?

Answer

Beach! Jungle! Rich history and extremely tasty food! All within a quick walk or drive. Check out our full list of suggestions in the "Things to Do" tab.

Question

Will you be changing your last names?

Answer

Nope, we like them separate but just as hard to pronounce (kee-NYOH-nez and MAC-nuh-mare-uh)

Question

What's with the frogs?

Answer

The coqui (tree frog) is an unofficial national symbol of Puerto Rico - you'll hear them at night with their famous "co-qui" chirps! Jamie also collected frogs growing up, which is embarrassing but true.

Question

What is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Pleaseee RSVP by 11/28/2026! Muchas gracias!
