Jamie Morgan

Bride

Rahim Salaam

Groom

Valerie Morgan

Mother of the Bride

I can always rely on my mom to give the kindest, truest and funniest advice for whatever challenge life has thrown at me. I'm sure this will be vital for me as I grow into this new role as a wife. I'm so thankful for the mother God chose to bless me with. -- Jamie

Barbara Kiefer

Mother of the Groom

The patience, love and care this beautiful human being has shown me throughout my lifetime has been priceless. She has passed on to me my best qualities as we have grown and developed through good times and bad. She has been and continues to be such a selfless supporter of me and our family. She can not be thanked enough. -- Rahim

Dwight Morgan

Father of the Bride

My dad is one of the funnest people I know, and he always seems to know something about everything! His excitement about our wedding and lighting up the backyard has been contagious. Whenever I feel stressed about wedding planning, I think about my dad and it makes me smile. -- Jamie

Bernadette Levi

Best Woman

My oldest daughter, the multi hyphenate serial side hustler, makes me more proud than I could ever have imagined. Her energy, drive and focus is an inspiration to all that are blessed to be in her presence. Her unconditional love for me has kept my head above water. Cheers to you my beautiful nerd! -- Rahim

Barbara Salaam

Groomswoman

The kindest, gentlest human being I could ever have the privilege of being loved by. As her father I am tasked with being an influence to teach and mold her, but she has really taught me the most valuable lessons of courage, hard work, accountability and grace. I am so looking forward to exploring the roads of knowledge, wisdom and understanding with Barbara in our journey together as a complete family. -- Rahim

Rosa Combs

Maid of Honor

We met in middle school, but our friendship really sealed itself during our high school years. Our friendship has only grown deeper, and more beautiful and genuine since those early days. Throughout my life, Rosa has been one of my biggest cheerleaders, and that has been invaluable to the woman I am today. Words cannot express the unconditional love we share, so I'll sum it up as this: We should all have that one person who unwaveringly believes in you even when you don't believe in yourself. For me, that's Rosa. -- Jamie

Shaunda Morgan

Maid of Honor

Shaunda is truly the first friend that I can remember having, and it's not just because we are related. She is a true and selfless friend, through and through. I can't recall a time in my life when Shaunda wasn't there. She even comforted me on our first day of preschool as I was going through some MAJOR separation anxiety being away from my mom. I can legit close my eyes and recall the compassion on her face telling me that I would be OK. And we were only four! But that moment exemplifies her cool, calm and charming demeanor that is infectious to be around. -- Jamie

Tamara Vazquez

Matron of Honor

My honorary matron of honor. Tammy and I met later in life, but we have developed an amazingly close friendship in just a few short years. I can always count on her for honest but nonetheless loving advice, and to snap me back to reality when I'm in my head too much. Happily, she is expecting her first child (my future god-son) right around the time of the wedding and won't be in attendance. Even though she won't be there in person, her spirit runs through this whole wedding. She has been there every step of the way, and I'm so thankful. -- Jamie

Xiomara Vazquez

Matron of Honor

Xiomara is one of the most supportive, selfless and sacrificial people I know, which means a lot when you consider that she is the glue in her family as a wife, and a mother to four children. Despite the busyness in her life, Xio always finds a way to celebrate the big and small moments in her friends' lives, even if it means traveling to and fro from Indiana to Chicago and usually with a kid or two in tow. I'm so grateful that she would slice out a chunk of her time for me. -- Jamie

Leukos Morgan

Ring Bearer

My dinosaur-loving nephew! My Leuky-Poo! I have many titles: Daughter, mother, soon-to-be-wife. But Leukos is the one who allowed me to add the title of Auntie Jamie, and I will always be thankful to him for that. -- Jamie

Aurora Morgan

Flower Girl

Aurora is my bright-eyed niece who wears the joy of life all over her face. She tackles everything with enthusiasm, and I love it. I want to be like her when I grow up. -- Jamie

Harper Morgan

Flower Girl

My precious niece Harper has a pouty-face that absolutely melts my heart. She always looks like she has some insightful thought hidden in her mind, so I'm looking forward to her first words. I'm sure I'll be blown away! -- Jamie

Pastor Zack Williamson

Officiant

Pastor Zack and his wonderful wife Pastor Alethea have been my pastors for nearly a decade! They have sacrificially poured into me, and God has used them greatly to shape who I am today. They have welcomed Rahim with open arms, and have been faithful to counsel us and prepare us for this next great adventure called marriage. -- Jamie & Rahim
