Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Wedding Dress Code: Black-Tie Optional Our wedding will be a Black-Tie Optional affair, so men feel free to wear a tuxedo or a formal dark colored suit with a tie or bow tie. Ladies can wear an evening gown or an ankle/midi length formal dress. Please be mindful of heels, as the ceremony will take place outside on the lawn (weather permitting). We can't wait to see you all looking your best! Welcome Party: For the welcome party, we encourage dressy casual or cocktail attire to kick off the weekend. This means anything that's stylish yet comfortable - women are encouraged to wear dresses, jumpsuits or a skirt/trouser/blouse combination, and men are encouraged to wear chinos or dress pants with collared shirts (blazers are optional). No jeans please. We kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride and bridal party - whites, ivories, and creams.

Question

Is the wedding inside or outside?

Answer

Both! Weather permitting, our ceremony will be on the back lawn of the Litchfield Inn property, while our cocktail hour will be a combination indoor/outdoor affair, and our reception will be fully indoors.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

We love your little ones but we'd like to keep this an adult-only celebration. We hope you'll enjoy a fun parent's night out.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We’d love for you to join us for our full weekend of wedding festivities at The Litchfield Inn itself! We will have the entire inn reserved, with 32 beautiful rooms available on a first come, first served basis. We hope to have as many guests as possible stay on the grounds to enjoy a relaxing weekend in the beautiful hills of Litchfield without the stress of transportation. Rooms are also available earlier in the week for those who would like to arrive prior to Saturday! Check out the 'Hotel' tab of this website to learn more. Alternatively, there are some Airbnbs/VRBOs in the area, the Hopkins Inn & Restaurant (20 minutes), Days Inn by Wyndham Torrington (~20 minutes), The Courtyard Marriott Waterbury Downtown (~25 minutes), and The Heritage Hotel (~30 minutes).

Question

Can I bring my dog to the The Litchfield Inn?

Answer

Yes! Pets are welcomed at The Litchfield Inn for $30 per pet, per night. However, please note that pets are not permitted in the King Bed themed rooms.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

While we wish we could invite everyone, due to venue capacity limits we are only able to accommodate a limited number of guests. If a plus one has been given to you, the formal invitation you receive will be made out to "(Your Name) & Guest".

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Since the ceremony, reception, and accommodations are all at The Litchfield Inn, no additional transportation will be provided. If you are staying at a different location (not at the inn) you will need to arrange your own transportation at the end of the night to get you home safely. Please note there are not many Ubers in the area so we recommend that if you do plan on using an Uber, that you schedule it ahead of time.

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

The Litchfield Inn has plenty of parking available. You may leave your car overnight even if you are not staying at the Inn.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

We suggest arriving 20-30 minutes ahead of time as our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30PM on the back lawn of The Litchfield Inn.

Question

Are the bride and groom registered anywhere?

Answer

Yes! Please see the 'Registry' tab of this website. We are registered through Zola and Amazon. Thank you for helping us start our life together with the items we’ll use and love every day.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Duh!
