Officiant
Amanda was Tom's "work wife" while they both worked at the Kennedy Center, and is responsible for introducing Tom and Jamie to each other. She has been there from the very start of their relationship. Unbeknownst to them, she routinely provided the rest of the Development team with the latest gossip on the budding couple, as it turned out that their colleagues were surprisingly invested in the real life rom-com. So in more ways than one, you certainly could say that this wedding would not be happening without Amanda's help!
Maid of Honor
Jamie's built in best friend from the age of three. Jamie was so protective of her baby sister growing up - that is until she was old enough to start stealing her stuff, and then she wanted nothing to do with her. As they continued to grow up, they became more than sisters but truly best friends. Jordan has been traveling the country through her work as a PTA and no matter where in the world she is, Jamie and Jordan are still just as close as ever.
Best Man
From 'Cuse to Carolina, NYC to DC, Jason and Tom have logged a lot of miles, stories, and beers over the past 17 years. Roommates at Syracuse from their Sophomore through Senior year, they made many trips up and down I-95 in the years after college, visiting often after Tom moved to Washington, and Jason to New York. Tom reprised his role of roommate extraordinaire last summer, when he lived with Jason and his wife, Steff, in Charlotte before he and Jamie finalized their own move to North Carolina.
Bridesmaid
Sarah has been one of Jamie's best friends since Jamie's first day at her new school in Frederick, MD. Sarah to this day can still remember the exact outfit Jamie was wearing that first day that they met. Through all of life's twists and turns, and the awkward teenage years, Sarah has been there for all of life's biggest moments and is even lovingly referred to as "the middle child" in the Doughty home.
Bridesmaid
Tebine and Jamie have been best friends since junior year of high school. Their relationship has been built on chatting on the phone for hours at a time, Tebine being Jamie's go to style consultant, and their mutual love for Cherry Coke. Tebine was the first person that Jamie introduced Tom to, knowing that her opinion was one of the most important.
Bridesmaid
Karen and Jamie met in the first grade and have been friends every since. Not many people can say that they are lucky enough to have had a friend for over 25 years and Jamie is so grateful that their friendship has endured all of life's twists and turns. From weddings, to babies, to all of the milestones in between, Jamie could not imagine celebrating without Karen by her side.
Bridesmaid
Corinne and Jamie met freshman year at JMU (go Dukes!) They both lived on the same hall that first year and then roomed together junior and senior year. Corinne has been the most dedicated and generous friend, attending almost all of Jamie's dance performances over the years and always making time to visit no matter where in the world either of them were living at the time.
Groomsman
One of Tom's earliest friendships, he and Zach first met in second grade and have been friends ever since. Having bonded over a shared fandom of the Yankees, baseball has always been central to their friendship, and they'll still catch a game as often as they can - be it the Nats, Orioles, or Yankees. Zach has always been willing to hop on planes, trains, and automobiles to visit Tom and Jamie in whatever city that chapter of life has taken them, and they are both so grateful for his friendship.
Groomsman
Joe and Tom also met their Freshman year at Syracuse, and were roommates during their Sophomore and Junior years. As fellow music majors, when they weren't in class or rehearsal, they could most often be found playing Madden on Joe's PlayStation which Tom managed to win at once... ever... Though they're now many years removed from those videogame marathons, their Thursday summer wing tour, or nights out on Armory Square, Joe easily remains one of Tom's best friends.
Groomsman
Billy and Tom first met as Freshman members of the trumpet studio at Syracuse and became quick friends. They were also roommates during their Sophomore year, sharing a dorm suite with Joe and Jason, who they bonded with while watching movies on Billy's laptop, which almost certainly probably didn't happen while they were seated in a lecture hall during music history class... So began a long string of pranks, jokes, and laughs that cemented the friendship, and Billy remains one of Tom's best friends to this day.
Groomsman
Tom's not-so-little, little brother. Though life has taken them in different directions, both professionally and geographically, they keep in touch regardless of how many states are in between, and are always up-to-date on each other's latest news. Having seen their relationship grow from its very beginning, Tom and Jamie knew there was no one else who'd be better to stand with them on this special day. While the wedding is a formality, he has been a brother to them both for years already.
