On a cool December night in Wynwood, Miami, Jamie and Jake caught each other's eyes in the crowd. It was MÁS MIAMI, a wildly fun event hosted by The Dan Le Batard Show. Jake was with his best friend Brendan, a big fan of the show, and Brendan's then girlfriend, now wife, Rita who surprised them with tickets. As Jamie was waiting for her drink at the bar, Jake approached her. Perhaps it was the overalls she was wearing that drew this southern man's attention. Either way, the chemistry was instant. Jake invited Jamie to meet his friends and they all hit it off. These were her kind of people she thought. They all decided to leave and grab dinner together. Jamie and Jake have been together since.

OUR STORY One sunny summer morning, Jake suggested they take a family trip to the beach. Jamie and their dog Duncan hopped eagerly into the truck. Off they went, windows down cruising A-1-A to Delray Beach. Duncan barreled into the ocean followed by a leisurely Jamie and Jake. She didn't think much of it, but Jamie noticed Jake didn't swim as much as usual. Back on shore, Jake pulled Jamie in for a soggy hug. Next thing she knew, his knee was in the sand and a ring was miraculously pulled from his swim trunks. Jake asked Jamie to marry him and with a massive grin Jamie said, "Yes!" DUNCAN'S STORY I splashed and splashed! Then I rolled and rolled. Extra sandy is best! Papa's hand reached into the treat pocket. Oh boy! Snacks!!! I sat, waiting like a good boy... It was no treat! Hmpf. But then Mom got excited and I felt all the happy. My tail wagged and I joined the hugs!
