While we’d love for everyone to stay at the Grand Miramar with us — we totally understand that people may want to be somewhere else or we may run out of availability for everyone at the hotel, so you are absolutely more than welcome to stay elsewhere! Puerto Vallarta has tons of small hotels, beautiful vacation rental homes, and all-inclusive resorts! If you want something nearby to the Grand Miramar - we recommend looking into a casa/villa/vacation rental home since the Conchas Chinas neighborhood is known for their rentals or there is the Patio Azul Boutique Hotel that is also nearby. If you want an all-inclusive resort experience right on the beach, we recommend the Hyatt Ziva (pricier option) or if you prefer to be in the bustle of the city, you can stay within Zona Romantica (downtown region). Just a heads-up: our shuttle transportation to and from the wedding events will only run to and from the Grand Miramar (ubers are VERY cheap and easy though)
No! It is very easy and cheap to get around Puerto Vallarta via taxi or Uber. All of our planned programming is centralized within the main city. Make sure to get/bring pesos for the taxis.
While we love your little ones, we’re planning an adults-only celebration for the wedding events - we appreciate your understanding! With that said, you’re absolutely welcome to bring your kids to Mexico and make a family vacation of it.
We’re so excited to celebrate with our closest friends and family! Due to limited space, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
We will officially open up RSVPs within the coming months, with November 21 being the RSVP deadline. However, since this event requires travel and extra planning - we appreciate as much advance notice as possible - so please let us know when you know! :)
You can expect warm, sunny days with average highs in the low 80s°F and cooler evenings in the mid-60s°F. It’s also the dry season, so rain is very unlikely. Pack your sunscreen, sunglasses, and beachwear—but don't forget to throw in a light jacket or sweater for the evenings.
Yes, Puerto Vallarta is considered one of the safest tourist destinations in Mexico. Like any city, it’s always wise to stay aware of your surroundings and take basic precautions (don’t leave valuables unattended, stick to well-lit areas at night, etc.). The areas where our wedding events will take place are popular and well-traveled.
Get Mexican Pesos! A lot of smaller restaurants and taxis are cash only. You can do this before you come or there are ATMs in Mexico that you can use, but make sure to 'decline the conversion rate' when asked to avoid getting overcharged. Plenty of places also accept credit card as well, but best to have both. Stick to bottled water! We recommend avoiding drinking any sort of tap water including at hotels or restaurants. Ice is usually fine in reputable restaurants and hotels, as most use purified ice—but if in doubt, ask.
