We're getting married!

Jamie & Jay first met in the spring of 2007 in the new age/modern technology way that so many people meet nowadays. They saw each other casually for a couple of years, but the time wasn't right for either of them to date. In fact, in late 2007, Jamie left the country for six months to work on the high seas with Royal Caribbean. Jamie returned back to Orlando in 2008, and finally, in December 2008, Jay invited Jamie to his holiday party at Cheyenne Saloon. They discovered that they had mutual friends, and something sparked. They began dating exclusively, which turned into traveling abroad together, and the next thing they knew they were moving in together. They established a solid relationship built around supportive friends, and soon met each others’ families, who were extremely supportive. Shockingly, that experience didn’t scare either one away! Soon they made an addition to their family when they adopted Buddy, a lab retriever mix, in June of 2009. In August of 2013, Jamie had the opportunity to attend the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Not one to give up on the relationship, Jay agreed to relocate to support Jamie in the endeavor. They packed up and moved to Winston-Salem for new adventures. And new adventures were had indeed, and new friendships were made, and an even stronger relationship was built. Jamie graduated from UNCSA in 2016, and when the opportunity presented itself, the couple moved back “home” to Orlando. On November 24, 2017 -- on a cruise with friends -- Jay finally popped the question after almost nine years of dating and living together! Jamie said YES, and the wedding plans immediately got underway. They quickly decided that they wanted this special occasion to be a huge celebration among friends and families that have enriched their lives for so many years.
