What do you get, when a Nerd, Winnie the Pooh and Cholo walk into a bar?....the start of Amie and Jamie's love story. Amie and her friends had just came from a Halloween themed booze cruise and my friends and I had just finished an escape room and dinner. Like all great nights we were just going out for "one drink". We were at separate tables on the patio and Mariah Carey came on and the whole patio was just singing together, both our tables started chatting with one another and then ended up going to another bar together. Amie and I ended up just sitting outside and talking for the remainder of the night. When the lights came on and time was ready to go we both went our separate ways. Next thing I knew I hear "Wait, wait, wait can I have your number?", numbers were exchanged and needless to say, we haven't stopped talking to each other ever since. As the saying goes, nothing worth having is easy. We meet 2 months before Amie was due to move to Kauai, HI. We both knew we wanted to keep this going but also aware of the importance of personal growth so our first year was long distance. It was def a challenge but so thankful for that time because it built our communication and we all know that's the foundation of great relationship, plus I got to visit paradise every few months. Fast forward to what will be 6 years together when we get married. Our love is beautiful, funny, supportive and kind. We are each other's biggest fans and we can't wait for y'all to share this moment with us.

I took Jamie to the pumpkin patch to propose. It seemed fitting since it was one of our first dates. We walked around and looked at the farm animals and the kids shooting corn at targets then headed over to the corn maze. This is where I wanted to make my move. Only it was so crowded so it was kinda hard to find the right moment. When we were toward the back of the maze I saw my opportunity and asked her to stop so I could ask her a question. She turned quickly and joked that I wasn’t gonna do this here but when I reached into my bag and pulled out the ring she promptly turned and ran away in shock. I was laughing as I chased after her. I grabbed her hand got down on one knee and asked her if she would marry me. She was already crying tears of joy as she couldn’t believe this was finally happening. We quickly made our way to the car to call our family and friends. Then once the shock wore off we were able to go pick out our pumpkins.
