A note for those attending virtually

Planning a wedding is stressful even in normal, non-pandemic times so COVID has made everything infinitely more stressful. When we first sent out our Save the Dates, we obviously had no idea what was in store for us in 2020. At first, we thought to have a small private ceremony on November 14th with just our parents in attendance and have the reception in April 2021 with everyone invited. However, the COVID pandemic is highly considered to be prevalent even in 2021. In the end, we made the tough decision to go ahead with the wedding on November 14th as planned but with a reduced in person guest count. Since we both have family members who are high risk, we take their health and safety very seriously. We want to extend those who got a Save the Date but not an invitation (to attend in person) our sincerest apologies and to let you know we did not make the decision lightly. In fact, it was agonized over for months. We are making plans to have the wedding live streamed, either by Twitch or by Zoom through this website, so that those who cannot attend in person will still be able to take part in our big day. We hope you can attend virtually and appreciate your understanding in this matter. Thank you! - Jami and Morgan

COVID precautions for our wedding

If you are attending our wedding in person, please be aware that masks will be required by all guests except for when eating and drinking which will be done at tables only. Masks will be provided at the wedding for your convenience if you do not bring your own. There will also be multiple areas to sanitize your hands, including the buffet area. We recognize there is always some risk in having events in person due to COVID but you are requested to please respect our wishes in this matter. Thank you! - Jami and Morgan

How we met

We are both apart of the Jacksonville cosplay community which is a very close knit community. Despite having likely been to the same conventions many times, we never officially met until mutual friends of ours (Alyx and Jason Black) threw a cosplay pool party in the fall of 2017. I had plans to go to the party with my Maid of Honor Jessica Saracino but almost dropped out of them due to being tired from working night shift at the time. Luckily, Jessica convinced me to go anyway. Best man Adam Warner volunteered to DJ at the party and Morgan went with him to help him out. There's a saying where you only find love when you're not looking for it. Both Morgan and I went to that party not looking for love. I had been single for a while at that point and was finally in that place where I was OK that way and was enjoying time with all my friends. Morgan was recently single and also wasn't looking for love. Well, fate had different things in mind for us because we met at the party and immediately hit it off. On the following Thursday, we had our first date. Morgan made home cooked Chicken Alfredo and taught me the box step. The rest you could say is history. So to Jessica, Alyx, Jason and Adam thank you for being instrumental in making sure this all happened. <3 Jami <3
