Question

What is the attire?

Answer

For our wedding we ask that everyone dress in beach semi-formal attire. This can include pants suits, maxi dresses, jumpsuits, sundresses, sports coats, dress slacks and collared shirts (no ties required!). Due to the nature of our wedding, there may be periods of standing/walking while we move through customs so please dress comfortably. If you get chilly often, you may want to consider a light sweater or wrap. We kindly ask that you save the flip flops, activewear and shorts for the remainder of the cruise.

Question

Can I attend the wedding only, without joining for the cruise?

Answer

Yes! One of the reasons we specifically chose an embarkation day wedding is so that we can share our wedding celebration with both cruising and non-cruising guests. Regardless of whether or not you choose to cruise, you will be required to register with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and US Customs with either an original birth certificate (must have raised seal), driver’s license or a valid passport/passport card. We will need these document numbers at least 60 days prior to sailing.

Question

What is the cost for the cruise?

Answer

Our travel agent has secured a block of discounted cabins for our cruise wedding. Depending on what part of the ship you choose, rates begin at $551 (USD) per person, plus taxes and fees. Please note that all prices are based on double occupancy. Beverage Packages, if desired, may be purchased separately. A $500 deposit is required for all rooms. Final payments will be due in February 2023. For more information on cruise pricing, please visit our cruise website: https://bytesizecruises.com/capehart-justice-wedding/#

Question

Since this is a cruise wedding, what will the flow of the day look like?

Answer

Great question! Since this is a non-traditional wedding, the day of will look very different than a standard wedding. All guests, both cruising and non-cruising, must be present at the dock by no later than 9:00AM to begin our check in with US Customs. Once all of our guests have been verified, we will board the ship as a group and will be directed to our venue. If you are cruising, you may check your luggage to be delivered to your stateroom and may store small carryon bags in the venue during the wedding. Once we arrive at our venue, a continental breakfast will be provided while guests mingle. Cruising guests are free to roam the ship during this time and get familiar with the layout, however non-cruising guests must remain in the venue at all times. We kindly ask that if you are exploring that you please return to the venue by no later than 11:45AM so that we can begin our ceremony promptly at 12:00PM. At 12:00PM our ceremony will begin and a reception will immediately follow. At 2:30PM all non cruising guests must gather their belongings and prepare to depart the ship. Once all of our special non-cruising guests have departed, all cruisers will be required to attend a safety meeting with the Cruise Director, then we’re off to continue the party in Florida and The Bahamas!

Question

What time should I arrive at the dock?

Answer

All guests will need to arrive at 9:00am to begin the check in process with US Customs. Please be sure to arrive fully dressed for the wedding and ready to celebrate!

Question

Are there any restricted items that I cannot bring onboard?

Answer

Yes, Royal Caribbean has very strict policies on what can and cannot be brought on board. For more details please visit the Royal Caribbean website: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/prohibited-items-onboard-policy

Question

When do I need to RSVP?

Answer

We ask that all guests please RSVP by no later than April 10th, 2023. Please be sure to provide us with your document numbers when you RSVP.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately due to the nature of our wedding, we must keep our guest list small. If your wedding invitation includes a guest, it will be specified on the envelope addressed to you, and in the RSVP section of our website.
