Known for its historic charm and vibrant arts scene, Belfast is where Paulina and James spend most of their time over the summer. Take a yoga class by the ocean with Ananda Yoga, catch the Thursday evening music at Steamboat Landing, watch the latest movie at the Colonial Theatre, grab dinner at Delvinos, or get a scoop of ice cream at Wild Cow! Interested to try rowing? There is a FREE gig rowing club that Paulina loves: https://www.comeboating.org/.
The perfect midcoast Maine community, Camden has our favorite shops and restaurants in the area. While Belfast leans "hippie/crunchy/artsy," Camden is a more classic New England preppy. Take a ride on the Old Schooner, eat at Franny's Bistro or Peter Ott's, get ice cream at River Ducks, watch the boats at Harbor Park, and peruse our favorite store: Symmetree.
Acadia National Park is a cluster of islands along the Maine Coast filled with natural beauty. Acadia National Park has a variety of landscapes including granite-domed mountains, woodlands, lakes, ponds, and ocean shoreline. Fun fact- you can watch sunrise from the top of Cadillac Mountain and be the first people on the East coast to see it! Our favorite place to stay in this area is Bar Harbor Inn, and our favorite hike is the Beehive Loop. Make a reservation at the Jordan Pond House Restaurant to try their world-famous popovers!
For our guests who golf (looking at you, Clellands!), this course is 18 holes and sits right on the Maine coast. There is also a gorgeous, mile-long walk on the rocks out to an old lighthouse. Paulina grew up on a street called "Samoset," so this spot has always felt special.
