We're getting married!!

After hearing so much about each other for several months, we finally met at a laser tag event thrown by Mary's small group in November 2021. Right from the start, we clicked instantly - and it was pretty clear to everyone around us that we liked each other. Here's the kicker, James was set on becoming a monk. After many Sunday night dinners with the homies, all-day study sessions, and countless hours spent talking - it became clear to James that he wanted to pursue a relationship with Mary (who had reached that conclusion a little bit quicker than he did). After a game night with friends, James finally asked Mary out. This turn of events was a surprise to Mary, to say the least! Not wanting to make a decision based on impulse, Mary thought about it for a couple of days - and happily accepted James' invitation. They both can easily say it was one of the best decisions they made!

Continuing a tradition of watching the sunrise on a beach, James surprised Mary with an early morning trip to the beach while she was visiting him in Delaware. The night before he collected everything he needed - he managed to get her bathing suit, beach shoes, glasses, and phone, all without her noticing. At 4 a.m., he went downstairs to wake her up and tell her they were going to the beach. We arrived, watched the sunrise and James proposed! It was an amazing start to the day - and the rest of our lives! We're so excited to move into this next chapter of our lives with you. See you in June!
