Are kids allowed at the wedding?

Answer

For the ceremony and reception on Monday, May 27th we ask that you leave the little ones at home. Please feel free to bring the whole family to our welcome party on Sunday, May 26th!

How do we get to the venue?

Answer

There will be shuttles provided from the Hilton Scotts Valley/Santa Cruz to the venue and back. There is parking available at the venue, but it is limited so please let us know if you would like to park at the venue and we will try our best to accommodate everyone. Typically, it is easy to get an uber to the venue but challenging to get one home from the venue at the end of the night. For those of you who wish to park at Nestldown and enjoy a few cocktails, cars can be left at the venue overnight but must be picked up by 11 a.m. the following morning.

What's an unplugged ceremony?

Answer

We request that our guests turn off and put away their phones/cameras/tablets for the entirety of the ceremony. We have a professional photographer to document the day and would rather our guests be present. Please triple check your phone is on silent or completely off prior to our ceremony. Feel free to take them out at the cocktail hour and reception! There are plenty of photo opportunities on the grounds.

What if I need help getting around the venue?

Answer

Nestldown is completely ADA accessible. We will also have golf carts for guests who needs assistance. Please let us know ahead of time so we can be sure to accommodate you. Getting to the ceremony includes walking down two hills and the cocktail hour and dinner are on lawns, so please plan footwear accordingly.

Weather

Answer

Weather permitting, the entire ceremony and reception will be outdoors. Being near the coast in May, the temperature should be pretty mild to warm during the day, but it can get chilly at night so bring a coat. Unless you're from Indiana then you're used to it. There are fire pits at the apple knoll to keep warm as well. If it should rain, there is a large tent and a barn that can be used for the ceremony and reception.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions as early as possible so we can work with our caterer to ensure your needs are met. Mar and I know how bad gluten free bread can be, so we want to make sure everyone has dinner they can enjoy!
