The wedding is black-tie formal, so we ask you to be dressed to the nines, tuxes are preferable as are long formal evening gowns, but we understand not everyone has/can afford that, so when in doubt, black or navy are always flattering formal colors and easy to find! Ladies: if you are not wearing an evening gown, we ask you to wear nothing shorter than knee-length cocktail dresses for the sake of formality. It's going to be a mix between a formal dinner party (think like a fancy gala/ball) and a super-fun dance party after all the first dances. So dress your absolute darndest! We promise, you won't compare or be mistaken to the Bride, Groom, or the wedding party.
Kids are welcome, but they are not allowed to disrupt the wedding itself. If your child(ren) begin to cause too much noise and distraction, please quickly remove them and move to the quiet room (left side of the room facing the altar), take them outside, or in the hall before entering the main room located in the front. Thank you for understanding.
You are more than welcome to explore the surrounding area. Downtown Greer is a very cute historical area with local shops, restaurants, and coffee shops all waiting to be visited. Downtown Greenville is also a great place to walk around and explore. If you would like to rest before the reception, you may also go back to your hotel or residence to freshen up and relax before the party begins.
It is highly encouraged that you eat lunch before the wedding ceremony. Cocktails or Drinks will be served promptly at 5pm while your courses are being prepared. Salad will be served first around 5:30, following your main course and finally, Cake! There will be a toast to the couple before the cake is cut.
There will be a bridal shower approximately 2 months before the wedding. There will be a rehearsal and a rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding for the wedding party, but no other formal events are planned.
Absolutely! James and I will miss seeing you, but we understand when things just don't work out. We appreciate your generosity ❤️
If you have dietary restrictions, please contact James, Lauren, or a member of the wedding party to make arrangements as soon as possible in order to have a safe and enjoyable meal at the reception.
We will be very busy (and hungry), we won't be able to say hello to anyone until the reception due to restrictions out of our control regarding time in the church to take photos. However, we encourage you to stay around after the mass in the entrance hall to socialize. If you have a wedding gift for us and aren't attending the reception, please find a member of the wedding party or any of the parents and they will take it on our behalf. Thank you for coming!
